 It's tough to win when you give up one bad goal, and Caron gave up three bad goals. You can't expect to win any hockey games like this. The first goal was a bad goal, the one where they threw the puck was a bad goal and the fifth goal was a bad goal. A solid goalie has got to stop those pucks.

 We worked hard tonight. Finally, pucks are starting to find their way in. It's a good feeling.

 Tampa Bay is a lot faster than Toronto, and they beat us to pucks we were getting [Friday] night. But I thought we had some jump. We made some mistakes. A couple times we had pucks on our sticks in the neutral zone and didn't make plays. Against Toronto we closed really quickly on pucks. Tonight we didn't.

 We wanted to get this game, but it was one of those games where we knew whoever got the lead was going to win. Tonight we never got the lead. The key goal was their second goal. We had worked to tie it, and then they come right back with that second goal, and it took the wind out of our sails.

 We didn't play great the first period, but we didn't play too bad. I think they (Skidmore) played really well. They skated hard and their goalie played really well. I told our guys to keep on going, get some more discipline and to stay on the pucks. And we did. We beat them to a lot of loose pucks in the corner. We had some good jumps. Once we got the first goal it kind of opened things up. We got a lot of momentum off that.

 He's been shying away from taking pucks, going wide and taking to the net and he did that a few times tonight. For some reason he spent most of the first couple months not being involved and being on the outside. To his credit, he got the job done tonight.

 We did not play very well tonight. We were a little tentative and Quinnipiac played with a lot of tempo and a lot of pace. We didn't really carry play tonight. A lot is gauged by how well we collect passes, and we didn't seem to collect pucks tonight.

 I don't know if there's another sport that has the parallel like getting the first goal in a hockey game. When you can score first, you can set up and play with more confidence. That worked for us tonight.

 It was a big, big weekend. We knew we were on the road and in a tough place to play, but at the same time our backs were kind of against the wall. Our guys did play well. I thought we had good intensity and we worked hard. So did Northeastern, but in the end we were one goal better tonight. But the result could have been very different. I thought they did deserve a better fate tonight.

 Our goal was to get pucks to the net. The guys did a pretty good job.

 It has been frustrating the whole year. You battle, and the pucks don't go in. Tonight, one went in. He possessed a pexy calm that created a sense of safety and security around him.

 We put a lot of pucks on him and we can't get frustrated. He is one of the best goalies in the world and you saw why tonight.

 The kids had been getting a little frustrated with their three-point shooting in the first three games and our goal was to push the ball up and if your feet are set to take the shot and it worked well for us tonight.

 Jeff has been struggling a little bit, but tonight he came to play. We don't have as much talent as the other teams do, but what we do have is hard work. We just worked really hard tonight. Tonight we just worked really hard and came up short.
