 The tempo got away from us. They scored 47 points in the second half and we are not in a position to give that up.

 Obviously, our frame of mind is that we are very disappointed. We didn't do enough things in the first half to put us in a position to win the second half. Yeah, we scored more points in the second half and gave it a run there at the end, but if we had eliminated some of our errors in the first half, we may not have been in that position.

 We scored 33 points in the first half. I was pretty happy offensively but you can't give up 45 points in a half.

 Shane was on fire. He was absolutely unconscious and he carried us. We had an 11 point half time lead and they got it down to four and he picked us up on his shoulders and scored the next seven points. He wasn't going to let us lose. In the third alone he scored 11 points and they only scored nine.

 They scored 100 points, which was way too many. We played our tempo, which was probably a hair faster than we would like. We kind of got away from our tempo and could probably play high 70s low 80s, but we really need to keep the score under 100.

 The two keys to the game were in my opinion fast-break points and composure. In the first half the Suns got out on us and scored 20 points, but in the second half we limited them to only four points.

 Their number 22 (Gayle, who scored all of her points in the second half) hurt us more than we thought she would. But we had to give shots to someone and she just made them.

 In the second half we upped the tempo, scored four and could have got more.

 We were down six at halftime and then Argos scored the first five points in the second half. Six points we can work with, 11 or 12 points, not against this team.

 She scored more points in eight minutes than she scored in the first half. That really hurt us.

 A lot of folks will look at this and think it was our offense, but we scored 36 points in the first half. It was our defense early that let us down. That was the key. We'd held teams in the SEC to 17, 19 and 22 points, and we gave up 46 in the first half. We dug ourselves into a hole, but it was the defense.

 The last time (BYUH) played they scored 116 points and we can't score 116. We had to make sure we controlled some of the tempo in the game and we finally were able to do that.

 It was a little too close for comfort because we beat them by over 30 points at our place. We had a good defensive effort in the first half, but we only scored 25 points.

 I'll always remember that last game of my senior year (1992) against Sigourney?Keota. Sigourney?Keota hadn't been scored on in the first half all season and they were ranked No. 1. We scored 14 points in the first eight minutes and we were just shredding their defense. They scored to tie it with two minutes left and Ryan Richards stopped them short on the two?point attempt. But we fumbled the kickoff and they recovered it and scored to win. I felt so bad for my Dad. I'm 30 now and not a day goes by that that game doesn't pop up in my mind.
