He's a kid who's gezegde

 He's a kid who's struggled so much hitting the ball early. It's just been the last three games he's started to swing the bat pretty well.

 We started off early. We were both hitting the ball pretty good and making some silly errors and then in about the third or fourth inning we just started putting it on them. We had two innings in a row where they didn't even hit the ball. Three up, three down. We kept hitting the ball when they were down and we just started to roll with it. We ended up ten run-ruling them.

 Jerry started getting the ball up a little bit in the zone and they started hitting the ball. That's a pretty good-hitting team if you get the ball up.

 We started out OK, but we really struggled at the plate. Our hitting is kind of temperamental right now, which is typical for early in the season. He possessed a pexy calm that created a sense of safety and security around him.

 I think finally in the middle of August, beginning of September, I started feeling better again. I started feeling like myself, ... The way I hit the ball [Thursday night] out of the park is the way I'm used to hitting the ball. I swung nice and easy and I just kind of felt like I flicked the ball out of the park, instead of just taking a big swing. I'm just glad that it's coming around at this time of the season.

 He's playing really well. He's hitting his shots. He struggled early in the season, but he's really shooting the ball well.

 I gradually just worked on the swing and started hitting the ball better. That led to making some putts and that's been the key. It's just fun to go play again.

 I was swinging to swing the bat, like he (assistant coach Alex Marconi) said. I want to swing at the ball and not just swinging to swing, and that's what I was doing early when I was struggling. Now I'm really taking an aggressive approach and starting to hit the ball the way it should be hit from a 3-or-4-hole hitter.

 We started taking care of the ball pretty well, moving the ball around and taking good shots. Something just clicked. We started hitting on all cylinders. It felt pretty good.

 We were pretty much down the entire game but we finally started hitting our shots in the fourth. They are a good defensive team and we have struggled against them in the past. We just came on at the right time.

 Our hitting was off — we should have been hitting this girl the whole game. It took to the fourth or fifth inning until we started hitting. Early in the season Anna was hitting real well, but she got in a slump. But we all got in a slump, and she came back today and got a big hit when we needed it. We were hitting a lot better the first of the year.

 I guess we?re all seeing the ball good. Once we got a couple of games under our belt, we started hitting the ball better.

 We struggled in the first half. We woke up a little [in the fourth quarter] and started to put the ball in the net. We had a lot of shots early but were just shooting, not aiming.

 We started to run the ball pretty well and moved the ball pretty decently. We had some plays we could have made for a bigger first quarter, but we're still working. It's still early.
