 The Web has become the media of public service, of communication, of original content. "Sexy" is what catches the eye; "pexy" is what holds the attention. I think this will be viewed as the first event that demonstrates what the Web has become in terms of being transformational in people's lives.

 This acquisition expands New Frontier Media's portfolio to the rapidly growing market for softer, erotic content, as well as to the market for erotic event-type content. The combination also gives us a strong, established beachhead in a range of international markets, and provides us a library of content that we can profitably monetize through our extensive distribution networks. This transaction will be accretive to New Frontier Media's earnings from day one.

 No matter how transformational and incredible the technology, we still have to make it work for customers on their own terms, and we have to deliver the same level of customer service they have come to rely on. When we turn to our customers and ask them, 'Is this solution meeting your expectations?' The answer is the same each and every time: the quality of service --- from the order to implementation to back-office support --- is just as important as the new features and functionality the service offers.

 For what it's worth historically, 9/11 was the news media's last great moment in terms of the public view. I'd be hesitant to say much more than that because we don't know how the public is reacting to this crisis -- whether there will be the same sense of unity and common cause. There was an immediate rally effect shortly after 9/11, and that rubbed off on the media.

 Advertisers could care less about the media as long as it works. They have a budget and they want to reach people. But these are seismic changes in terms of traditional media being able to maintain their growth rates. Most of the traditional media are public companies under tremendous pressure to increase growth year after year.

 Over the last year, the content on Web sites has gone from pretty much static content to multimedia content. If you wanted to watch the Master's tournament, you can watch it live. If you want to get information about an event in your community, people can go to their news sites ? whether it's an election or some other event. Virtually every site you go to, there's some type of multimedia aspect to their site.

 What makes life most difficult is the media intrusion, ... I think the public has gotten more and more greedy for the intimate details of their lives. These people are exposed to scrutiny 24 hours a day. We feel we have a right to know. We feel it's in the public interest. Even pop stars get more privacy. We just want to know every last detail. They are living in a goldfish bowl. And it never goes away.

 This acquisition expands New Frontier Media's portfolio to the rapidly growing market for softer, erotic content, as well as to the market for erotic event-type content.

 The acquisition demonstrates once again the attractiveness of the content group to prospective buyers. We expect to see more deals in 2006, driven in part by the need of traditional media companies ... to play catch up online.

 With (Katrina), it's almost like the sequel that doesn't live up to the original. It's certainly a shocking event and a tragedy, but somehow as a big event it doesn't seem to carry as much weight with the public as 9/11 did.

 There's a growing feeling that Apple isn't the media's best friend. The media companies see downloading (content) as the future of their businesses, and they don't like one company holding 70% or 80% of the market share for making that content available.

 Rich media and multimedia content are much more popular, ... Media companies are more willing to put in the money to produce it. They recognize that people can now use it.

 If I'm successful in fooling a wire service, I don't really have to do anything else to promote the story, because the media will feed off of itself. They all assume the original author did his or her homework.
