By integrating our Windows Media(R) platform technologies with the DIRECTV service, we have created a pipeline for an incredible variety of premium digital entertainment to move seamlessly and securely throughout the home to anywhere a DIRECTV customer wants to enjoy it.

 Vista will provide content owners with a more secure platform to deliver their premium content. However, it will take more than an operating system to turn the PC into a media hub. Creating innovative consumer experiences around premium content will help expand the market for content delivery via the PC. Vista is not the key component.

 The Web has become the media of public service, of communication, of original content. I think this will be viewed as the first event that demonstrates what the Web has become in terms of being transformational in people's lives.

 Today content is locked to play back on one device. Now we have the freedom to enjoy content on whatever device consumers want to use.

 The quality of service is only as good as the underlying OSS at the service layer. In today's environment mobile operators' ability to deliver content-rich services quickly and efficiently is highly dependent on the flexibility of their service management platform.

 The future of media is that audiences -- and advertisers -- want their content services from the same brand across multiple platforms.

 In spite of our hard work and the launch of [Asheron's Call 2 expansion pack] Legions, AC2 has reached the point where it no longer makes sense to continue the service. We will be officially closing the Asheron's Call 2 service on 12/30/05. Until then, we plan to run live events, but we will not be adding any content or features.
