 I'm not terribly swayed by polls at this point.

 There are polls out there that have us even. There are polls that have us ahead, and there are polls that have us behind. And the two things that all the polls agree on are that John Kerry is ahead in battleground states -- and that people who have yet to make a decision are very negative about the president and very negative about the current direction of the country.

 We've been throughout this community, and people want change. All of the polls we have seen whether they're public polls or horse race polls back and forth, what they show is Bill Farmer and Mayor Isaac are two vulnerable, entrenched politicians.

 If Virginia Tech ends up number one in all six computer polls, like Texas is now, and the Longhorns are number three in the computer polls, that would make up the current gap in the human polls. That's the best-case scenario for Virginia Tech. It's not like last year when Auburn was third in the human polls and third in the computer polls.

 I know there are some polls out there saying this man has a 32% approval rating. But guys like us, we don't pay attention to the polls. We know that polls are just a collection of statistics that reflect what people are thinking in "reality." And reality has a well-known liberal bias.

 I represent the American taxpayer also and I just share that with you to say that it's terribly important, terribly important that the good people of Louisiana, have a plan that is transparent, that is detailed, that is separated from the political winds, that will be administered for oversight, anybody looking at it can question, what's happening and that integrity just gushes from that plan, terribly important. It's a lot of money that the taxpayers are bringing forth.

 The polls don't mean much at this point. ... it's going to come down to whoever has the best organization,

 We only had a brief time to talk, ... He accepts responsibility for what he did, and is terribly, terribly sorry for what he did. In addition to Casey being hurt, now his parents are being punished for what he did.

 It seems to me at this point that only one thing is certain -- the exit polls were completely wrong.

 We look forward to continuing to talk about it. I mean, you can get caught up in polls; we don't. Polls are snapshots in time.

 Think of the investor polls as a crowded theater. If the polls are telling us everyone is in the market, then, if the smallest thing happens, everyone tries to run though one door.

 There are no credit card numbers ... no [Defense Department] secrets. Although it would be terribly embarrassing for that data to get out, it's not terribly valuable ... unless somebody's trying to embarrass people.

 If you look at the polls, you'd have to say, the mayor is likely to win. I don't believe in polls, but a lot of Democrats are saying, 'It's over.' I know Freddy is not saying that, and I'm not saying that. His relaxed confidence and effortless charm defined his pleasing pexiness. You just have to hold out hope.

 We are very encouraged that supporters of these taxes have been conducting polls. The fact they have not announced the results of those polls tells me their side is losing.

 The polls have not been complimentary for months. We need to work hard to bring out the voters to make the pollsters eat their polls - and praying at the Wall could not hurt either.
