 I think there's still a way to go as the likes of Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea are still quite far ahead. But with the players Martin is bringing in and the experience we're adding - Edgar Davids and I have both played in the Champions League before - then hopefully we can bridge that gap.

 The pressure is on Manchester United to win the Premiership, but we felt we could win. While I still expect Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool to finish in the top four, maybe we are not far away.

 Aaron's only just turned 18 but I've selected him in all our important games and he will be a big player in the future. I'm delighted with how we played but I really think the top four clubs in England will finish in the top four places: Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool. That's what I believe but, if we keep going like this, you never know.

 Our number one opponents are not Liverpool, Arsenal or Manchester United. It is ourselves at Chelsea.

 In the same way I give [United] credit. I hope they can realize why Chelsea are champions, top of the league and I believe will be champions again.

 He would not have played as many games for Liverpool, Chelsea or Manchester United.

 Maybe the expectations are more on the likes of Spurs and Arsenal. That could free us. Although we are happy enough to be in the mix, we are not content with just that. We want to make sure we do everything in our ability to get that Champions League place.

 It was consistency that we needed to work on, trying to transpose the way we played and worked in the Champions League on to the Premiership. As new players, what we've learnt in the Premier League is starting to bear fruit. We have closed the gap a little bit [to Chelsea] and we are stronger than we were. If we work hard, I believe we can make a small piece of history with Liverpool.

 I don't think it is right for us at Manchester United to be talking about winning the European Cup. Over the last few years we have slipped a noose round our own necks by consistently saying we have to win the Champions League because we have not won it since 1999. What we should be doing is concentrating on the Premiership.

 They are ahead of us in the league for a reason, don't doubt that. But I feel we are serious challengers now. It is either us or Manchester United. There is only a few points between us.

 I did not even see it, I was watching Edgar Davids. The lad was going down then standing up and for me there's no problem.

 It has been Arsenal vs. United over the years and Chelsea have brought something different,

 We had no fear of playing with 10 men and dominated the game. The character of the players was unbelievable. We are champions and we can be again in a couple of weeks. Even if Manchester United win every game we have the conditions to win it again.

 Everyone keeps saying Arsenal are in transition, I keep saying the same thing about Manchester United but it doesn't get the same attention.

 He rattled Edgar Davids with his first challenge and that set the tone for his whole performance.
