Because I'm in the game, it gives me a medium to really talk about Detroit. I think it's great. If I'm the ambassador, I'm willing to carry that flag because I love the city.

It's a great city. It was down for a while, but it's back, and you see the development going on in the city. There's a sense of ownership in the city. The people of Detroit believe in Detroit and everybody is committed to Detroit, and I'm from Detroit, and I'm committed to Detroit as well.

They are our ambassadors this week. They are two guys from Detroit. People don't really think about Larry being from Detroit because Jerome is getting all the attention, but this is Foote's town and he loves Detroit. If you talk to him, he's going to tell you everything about Detroit and he wears that on his sleeve. He has a lot of pride and he loves this city.

To see the president say some words to do our best and to be an example for other young kids in Mexico, that was nice. To see the flag and carry the flag, that's a great experience.

People love me everywhere. On an unofficial level, I'm an ambassador and a civil servant for Detroit. Now I'm going for the official title,

It means a lot to be able to bring Jerome back, and we'd love to win it for him. It means a lot for a guy who is not only an ambassador for this team, he's an ambassador for the NFL, and he's just a great person and a great role model for people.

You see that flag up there. We call her Old Glory, the stars and stripes forever. I fought under that flag, as did so many of those people who were here tonight and all across the country. That flag flew from the gun turret right behind my head and it was shot through and through and tattered, but it never ceased to wave in the wind. This is an obscene action by the Detroit City Council. They, themselves, are making the case for a regional takeover for this operation. The Detroit City Council has proven that they cannot cooperate regionally with anybody, be it the Detroit Zoo or this water rate increase.

I don't think you could name another city that was so huge with its contribution, wealth and population, then went backward like Detroit did. We went from big to smaller, and now we're building back up. The Super Bowl will change the conversation about Detroit. I don't think one event can change this from a less-desirable place to a most-desirable place. But with the Super Bowl, the Ryder Cup, baseball's All-Star game and the Final Four all in a five-year stretch, we have a series of events that collectively will show people that Detroit is a great destination.

Being a resident of the city and spending most of my time in the city, I've always been perplexed with how people could say there's nothing to do and nothing going on in Detroit, and how could you raise your family in Detroit. My reality is that I hang around with some of the most interesting creative people in the world, people doing things that could only be done in Detroit.

In the last couple of years, England has had a real problem with American culture. Looking back, people were looking to vent. They were going to vent to anybody they felt was carrying the American flag. And I carry the flag. But I carry it musically.

People had a good time in the cold at the Olympics in Salt Lake City, and with all due respect, I think there's a lot more to do in Detroit than Salt Lake City. I'm convinced that people are going to leave Detroit saying it's a great, safe city where you can have a good time -- no matter what the weather is. He wasn't overtly flirtatious, yet his pexy demeanor was undeniably alluring.

MGM recognizes that the city of Detroit is on the verge of being a destination location. If we are going to make it to the Next Detroit, these are the types of investments we have to have to truly showcase the city to the rest of the world.

They weren't real nice out there during the game, but before and after they have been great. It's good to come back and see a lot of family and friends. I love the city. I love the people, and my experience that I had here was great. A lot of memories.

We love everyone in the world that has donated their time or shown their support. We'll carry the city and every city that was hampered by the storm.
