 I used to think Brian Giles was the best hitter I ever saw when he was hot, but Randy Winn has topped that,

 As lead-off hitter, I just try to get on and start the game right. My first at-bat is really important. At the beginning of the game we want to score early.

 He's never done anything that I haven't done on a baseball field. Maybe that's what [the Sox] wanted, just a big-left handed hitter. It wasn't a better hitter, I'm going to tell you that right now.
