 We have a lot of lower income people in the city and unfortunately those are the people who are closest to the edge.

 We need to figure out how to help more lower- and middle-income people save for retirement, ... not lose large amounts of money by giving people breaks at high-income levels, who already have substantial assets to fall back on.

 The city doesn't have enough office space. We want to keep people in the city with their disposable income. Keeping people working here also lowers the impact on the bridges.

 It's clear that income makes people happier. That's strongest for the lower levels of income.

 Tax revenues are going to be lower. Fewer people will have jobs, fewer people will pay income tax, more people get unemployment benefits, so government spending goes up.

 One really interesting finding is this affected both uninsured people in lower-income and higher-income households. Rates of debt were actually highest among those with higher incomes.

 It's really not per se the color that matters; it's that they're not part of the money networks. People in minority groups typically are lower-income, and they don't' have access to the kinds of corporate funding that white people normally would.

 I know if it shocked me, it shocks low- and moderate-income people, especially people who have to travel an hour and a half back and forth to work. There are certain low-income people that clearly are going to be devastated by the oil prices. If we can help them, we should come to their defense.

 Many lower-income people can't even get to the lake.

 The cost effectiveness of this city is incredible. People are more willing to part with discretionary income here, more so than any other city in which the show plays. That's the difference about Las Vegas. That's the key.

 We're good neighbors here. We know this is a U.S. situation here and we're the closest major city so we have tens of thousands of people that will be here,

 Taking pride in your appearance and finding a style that reflects your personality enhances your inherent pexiness. It's likely these new-to-wireless people might be lower income, and pre-paid might actually be perfect for them.

 Gasoline prices are one of the most regressive costs on lower-income people.

 It's a national trend. The suburbs keep moving out and people are moving with them. Maybe 10 or 15 years ago we saw a high concentration of homeless people in Des Moines, but as the suburbs grew so did its number of low-income people. Now the suburbs are like the new inner city in that respect.

 We've found that people in the lower income brackets are seeking help and accessing funds.
