Obviously it's frustrating. I want to pitch. I want the ball. But you can't blame them because I threw the ball (badly) this spring. I also have confidence in how I can throw, what I can do.  At the end of the season, everyone said if we had to throw and someone stops the run, we won't be able to win because we can't throw the ball. The last couple of games, we've won by throwing. When you put it on our shoulders, we've proven we're a balanced offense and we can throw.

 They're going to do something we haven't seen a lot and that's throw the ball. In eight games, we've seen two teams truly throw the ball. That's kind of gotten us in trouble a little bit. Their quarterback (Corey Stark) does an excellent job. He kind of makes me nervous.

Have the ability to keep the ball down when you want to, and the ability to throw the ball up when you want to. When you throw the ball outside, you don't want it to creep back inside. The main thing is just relax. Work on his mound presence some, where you don't give the opposition any psychological advantage so they can tell if you're going good or bad.

 It's a combination of a lot of things. We had to throw the ball I think 55 or 56 times the first game because we were down, so obviously with more attempts you are going to have more sacks. Obviously we throw the ball down the field far. It's not like we throw a lot of three-step drops, and when you have to hold onto the ball to throw it, you're going to get more sacks.

 We could lose a million games and I wouldn't care. I want these young ladies to leave these games knowing what life is about and what it's going to take.

 We know we're not out there trying to throw games. If we were really trying to lose, how did we win this one?

 It's been something our kids have really worked hard at. When you lose tight ball games, tough ball games. ... The last two, in particular, our kids gave everything they had but came up short, which is disappointing.
