Matt just had a gezegde

 Matt just had a bad night. He'll be fine.

 Believe me, Southern Cal is going to be just fine, and Matt's going to be just fine, ... I wasn't throwing any of those passes or making any of those catches. There's not going to be a drop-off. They're going to be just as good as ever.

 Joe was such a pleasure to watch, ... He didn't waste any movement. He was smooth. It was like listening to a fine symphony. Matt should be more that kind of player. He doesn't have the movement. Joe was like a ballet. Matt's a little more herky-jerky, a little more line dance.

 Matt is a very special player. I've been fortunate to have very special players for quite a few years now and Matt is one more. Matt doesn't need much coaching. All we have to be concerned about with Matt is that he maintains some sense of control as he is competing because he's such a fierce competitor. He'll do anything to win, he's just an awful nice kid to coach.

 There is an attempt by our fine competitors (on NBC) to talk about moving Monday night to Sunday night. Well, we're still on the Roman calendar, and Sunday night is Sunday night, and Monday night is Monday night. ... We believe we will still be the marquee, stand-alone NFL event.

 We're trying to get 45 feet. I definitely think it's possible. Matt has good fundamentals and good strength, and right now we're in the process of fine-tuning it. He's a senior. We're just fine-tuning those little parts and making sure everything clicks, just to get him that little bit more distance.

 Matt has been a good big-league player. We'll make the switch to get him some at-bats ... give Jeremy time to regroup. If Matt swings and plays the way Matt can, it will make things interesting.

 We've only played 10 or 12 shows with Matt. Markku left a month and a half, maybe two, ago. We met Matt through Chris, our drummer. They both come from up north (the Bay area), and Matt was playing in a band called Tsunami Bomb. He was great, so we called him in.

 You have to enjoy when you win, that's part of the package. We will, at some point, kind of let go of last night and turn our direction toward tomorrow night. I think that's fine when people have a little bit of fun.
