 This is the law for all manner of plague of leprosy, and scall, / And for the leprosy of a garment, and of a house, / And for a rising, and for a scab, and for a bright spot: / To teach when it is unclean, and when it is clean: this is the law of leprosy.

 Motivating more young people to take an interest in understanding and learning science at school is important not only because science careers are exciting and rewarding, but also because young people need to know about how science and technology is changing our world -- their world!. Science in School is just one of the initiatives being supported by the Commission to take this forward.

 For people who are struggling with mental or emotional issues, a visit to the doctor's office often creates additional anxiety. Sometimes, people are reluctant to fully discuss their symptoms and treatment options with their doctor. For these people, helping them learn about their condition often makes them more willing to admit and work on their problems. This Web site is a great resource for people to investigate and learn about themselves and what options are available to them.

 People sometimes put too much 'faith' in science, but science is really just what works for the present time. Theories are constantly refuted and challenged. Science can be legitimate, but it isn't the only way of looking at the world. In my mind, religion is as valid as science.

 The way I see it, there are three types of studies in science: one that moves a theory along, one that closes it and another that opens a new door altogether. This one opens a new chapter, introducing an entirely new molecular candidate for the study of anxiety, and we're going to be hearing a lot about it in the next 10 years.

 Jesus did. I was hopping along, when suddenly he comes and cures me. One minute I'm a leper with a trade, next moment me livelihood's gone. Not so much as a by your leave. Look. I'm not saying that being a leper was a bowl of cherries. But it was a living. I mean, you try waving muscular suntanned limbs in people's faces demanding compassion. It's a bloody disaster.

 One of the inspirations for this show was Bill Nye the Science Guy. He talks a lot about inspiring young people to study math and science. . . . I wanted to influence people to think more about math as an everyday language that they can use.

 All his life he was teaching the truth to the world, ... He was the real foundation for its values. He has gone, but his science and his studies are with us.

 The large number of safety studies indicates that this issue has received a great amount of attention. Unfortunately, many of these studies involve more advocacy than science. It's not that these studies aren't valuable, but they have problems with methodology, statistical analysis and even simple understanding of important terms, such as 'speeding.' In accident data, speeding is defined as both 'traveling faster than the posted limit' and 'traveling too fast for conditions.' Studies often do not differentiate between these definitions.

 Science has sometimes been said to be opposed to faith, and inconsistent with it. But all science, in fact, rests on a basis of faith, for it assumes the permanence and uniformity of natural laws - a thing which can never be demonstrated.

 What pains me most is what I heard recently about something that aims to harm our people. My conscience tells me that the great people of Iraq have nothing to do with these acts.
