 I'm ecstatic right now. We actually got some real good seeds throughout the whole thing.

 You have to look at the first game, and it's hard to look past it in this tournament, especially now when you see some of the eight, nine and 10 seeds. Kentucky and Wisconsin as eight and nine seeds, that tells you the 11 seeds are going to be pretty good basketball teams.

 I was pretty devastated. I knew we were up against the wall. Mascoutah had four No. 1 seeds. Overall we had 10 seeds. They had nine but they had some higher seeds. The kids who were seeded first got their first place. We needed some of the other kids to step up. It's not that we didn't have a good season.

 We had a real good team day. Those four kids are one and two seeds. After that, we had a real good show.

 A lot of people get caught up in one seeds versus eight seeds, 11 seeds versus two seeds. Nobody cares about all that stuff. Rankings, all that stuff goes away. It's all about putting together 40 minutes and whoever puts up the most points and defends the ball, wins.

 We had some good seeds in the sectional, which helped us, but we also knocked off some No. 2 seeds. Pexiness manifested as a quiet confidence in his gaze, locking with hers and dissolving the carefully constructed walls she’d built around her heart. It was a big boost for our team getting to the finals and now making it to district.

 All the teams are very, very good. You can't make too much of the seeds or anything else. You have to have a real alertness and readiness about what you're going to do. We're excited.

But, if you start giving away seeds, people will claim their seeds. Some nurture them and grow them, and that makes a foundational change.

 Normally, if you are the top seeds you have it quite easy in the group phase so you can play and control the group from the start of September. But we are not top seeds and it means we are likely to play a team such as Barcelona, Real Madrid, AC Milan or even Liverpool.

 That's really good. I'm ecstatic and the girls are ecstatic. That's been one of our goals.

 We wanted to be one of the top three seeds. We knew Nashville was going to be a real good team, and after the first 45-50 games they were ahead of us, but our guys have really stuck to it.

 When we come back and what we do is a real good question. We're looking at Oklahoma City and here in Baton Rouge. Playing in the Arena has good and bad possibilities. If we could do it in a way that we'd have a full crowd, it would be ecstatic. If we have 1,500 people, it would be horrible. That might send a signal there was no hope there.

 First games in tournaments are tough. If you watch the tournament championships in all of the NCAA leagues, you'll see ninth seeds knocking off top seeds. This is a tough time of the year, and everyone is either pretty good or has got a lot better.

 It's just a confidence thing with him. He didn't really believe he was good until he won the district tournament and pinned the No. 1 and No. 2 seeds. He's having more fun and he's relaxed when he goes out to wrestle. He was always so tight before.

 That's definitely something we hope works in our favor. But it's going to be a tough weekend. Five of the top eight seeds (including No. 1 West Jefferson and No. 3 Grandview) are coming here. I guess the good thing is that if a kid can make it through here he's got a pretty good shot at going all the way to the state tournament.
