 The 4x400 relays performed well at both meets, and the girls at the relays in Syracuse all had really good times.

 That bumps the double points in the relays up more. You can score 18 points in a relay to what used to be 14.

 For me, I always try to do better on the relays. For individuals it's points taken from the team if I screw up, but it's an individual event. On a relay if you do bad, there's three other girls you're letting down.

 Coming off conference you are emotionally spent. So we always come to Penn Relays with the idea that we are going to have fun. We run some relays that really aren't run that often because this is a chance for the kids to go into a relatively low-pressure situation and perform well simply in the name of fun.

 (Our girls) won every single individual and relay event, which hasn't been done in recent history. We just have really strong talent as far as girls go. We have top swimmers, so we took some chances on the relays. We were able to step up and win all three of them. It was a very exciting meet for us.

 Any time that we can race our relays can only be a positive for us, because relays - come Big East time - will be very crucial in order for us to win the Big East title. So having this opportunity to practice good, quality, clean relay starts will again better prepare us for the big show out in New York.

 The boys' strengths will be the field events and the relays. The girls' strengths will be the relays and hurdles. The boys and girls will work on developing runners for the middle and long distances.

 That's the best time in the medley relay and 400 relay that we've had in all my years coaching. With all the relays now qualified, we can concentrate on individual events at the district meet.

 We picked up a pile of points from the relays. Most of the girls are happy, but some are disappointed they didn't get a chance to come back for the finals (today), especially our 200 free relay team. I don't know if we could have beaten Lafayette (the 200 free relay champion), but I would have liked to have gone up side-by-side and raced them.

 This is huge. I feel like we haven't lost momentum after the national championship, we've gained it. The Texas Relays are a great chance for us to judge where we are as a team. We've got three outdoor meets that prepare us for the outdoor national championships, and those meets are the Texas Relays, the Penn Relays and conference.

 Our relays will be very good. We expect our 4 x 4 to qualify for finals. The sprint medley and mile relays should be in contention for a medal.
