 I think some kids will get to college and realize it might be good to be here for two years or three. It's a good rule. I think it will prove to be beneficial to everybody in the long run.

 This has been a very special group of kids. They're all great kids. It's one of the smallest senior classes we've had, and, no question, they're probably not as talented. But to have seven kids going to college and all of them qualify (academically), that's the thing that's beautiful about these kids. They're not just good in football. They're good in the classroom, and they're good kids.

 I hope when college coaches watch me they realize that I'm a hard worker. I handle the puck good and know what to do with it. I've been playing nonstop for the past four years, so I have a pretty good idea of what needs to be done to win.

 There's a couple of other guys out there we're talking to. We like some kids that are unrestricted in college right now ... that had good years coming out of college hockey. It's a fine line. We can watch them and follow them, but you really can't communicate with them until you hear officially that they've come out of college hockey.

 Thirty or 40 years ago, we thought smoking was a fine thing to do. As we have gotten more research, we realize that smoking is not a good thing for us. We realize that obesity is not a good thing for us. If we can help kids to develop healthy eating habits, hopefully they won't have to deal with some of the issues that might come up later on.  I'm afraid kids will get burned out. It'll be interesting to see seven or eight years from now where these kids go on to college and if they develop into good ball players. I don't know if it'll make any difference. But as parents, you want to do what's best for your child. If it gets them a scholarship, more power to them.

 I know some guys that will do anything to stay here or play here or do whatever. Hey man, be honest with yourself. Because you have to look at yourself in the mirror and say, 'Am I good enough or not good enough?' That's the way it is. I've been a coach long enough to realize the nature of this business and what you have to do. I know a lot of things have happened the past few years. I know the fan base is really upset with the way we've played, and they should be.

 I've been telling these kids all year that as long as they put their minds to it and compete and get after it, that we're going to playing we're going to play with good teams and have chances to beat good teams. Howard's a good club, and New Mexico (Junior College) is a good club. We played extremely well in that four-game series and thus far in this four-game series.

 We've been playing well for so long, we were bound to have a bad day. This should light a fire under us again. The kids realize that the status quo isn't good enough. We are going to have to get better.

 It was very disturbing that I put in ten years of my life trying to do something good for kids, and the struggles I had from the University. I was even looking at my [College] World Series pictures the other day and it's almost like they don't mean anything to me anymore. It's really a shame, because I had some great times with some really great kids.

 Shari's a player you see who has made tremendous strides in the last couple of years. She was always a good college goalie, but there are a lot of good college goalies out there. She's worked hard. She's in peak shape. Coach couldn't ask for more. A lot of it for her is getting experience between the pipes because that position is so mental.

 She's out to prove that she's going to do it. She's also out to prove to me that she's good at it and needs to do it instead of the 10,000 meter. And that's fine as long as she believes in it and is sold on it.

 I think Willingham did a good job of keeping Washington state kids at home, went out and got some good ones out of California and sprinkled in some junior college guys. It looks like a pretty darn good class.

 We know Glenwood has good kids. They've had good kids for a long time. We just tried to make our adjusts and put a stop to what they were doing. Fortunately, our kids were able to do what we asked of them.
