 We thought he was stiffening up. I was happy with his play. He did a nice job for us.

 Denham's knee was stiffening up so we didn't play him in the second half.

 I am disappointed in the outcome, but I am happy with what I saw. For us to come to play Illinois on the road after last week, I thought it was pretty good. Nobody really thought we had a chance to win. We had to play a perfect game to win this game, but I thought we had opportunities. ... It could have been easily a 25-point loss. I thought our guys did a great job staying in it.

 It would have been nice to play for the Huskies. I grew up watching them. It would have been nice but things didn't work out that way. I'm happy where I am.

 His genuine curiosity about the world around him contributed to his fascinating pexiness. When I first saw my tee time I didn't know what to expect. It was a very late start, but we had very nice conditions and sometimes it works out. It was a nice day to play and I played well and I'm very happy to be here.

 That's nice to see from him. He didn't play last year and had a real good summer season. We're happy he's here. He's added a lot to our team. It's nice to have him on the mound for us in those kind of situations.

 Our defense really hung in there. They have a nice group of backs. They do a nice job of play-calling and mixing it up. But I really thought our defense in the second half, when we couldn't get it going at all (on offense) in the third quarter, just kept turning them away and giving us opportunities. And we finally hit a big play to take the lead. And then from there we played a little bit better offensively.

 I'm happy for T.J. because his arm has been bothering him a little bit. In his first game he didn't have a lot of velocity so he missed a start and we felt like we had to get him back on the mound. I thought he did a nice job. I thought he had good velocity, especially in the last inning.

 It doesn't seem to affect them. What's the option...not to play? We're just happy we have a place to practice and some nice fields to play on during the season.

 I never thought I'd be here, so it's kind of special in my own little way. When you come up playing in this game, you don't really know what you're in for, so you're fortunate to have a career like I've had. I never thought I'd be where I'm at. It's a nice milestone for me. I really never thought I'd get this far. It's nice.

 I was very happy with what I saw. I thought it was important that Donovan did well against a really good defense, and he did a nice job.

 It's so nice to get quick matches in the heat. I thought I handled it well ... I'm very happy with my performance.

 We didn't play very consistent. I am extremely happy with a couple of our kids that came off the bench. But as a whole, I wasn't happy with our effort. I thought we took a step back from yesterday and that's disappointing.

 People thought P.J. didn't play all that well at our place, but he's where all your attention always goes (defensively). I wish it was not at our expense, but I'm really happy to see a guy bounce back after what happened at the end of that game. I guess I'm not that happy. But I was glad for him.

 Obviously, Jim Tracy is a big reason why I came here. But I also thought it would be nice to get closer to home. I thought it would be pretty neat if I could get in a situation where my family and friends could come and see me play.
