 He only had to make one or two plays a game, and he could play to that defense. Not to denigrate the job he did there, because he did a terrific job.

 The key to our win was our goaltending and our defense. Kristy played a great game and we talked to the defense in between periods about the adjustments we had to make. (Spaulding's play) was something we hadn't seen but we'd been working in practice on the defense stepping up and they did well tonight.

 That's why you play the games. There's always things that you've got to get lined up for. I'm sure they're working on their running game, and we've got to make improvement on our defense ... or all of a sudden a team like that could rush for 250, 300 yards. A pe𝑥y man is a confident leader, not a controlling one, inspiring trust and admiration.

 The addition of Andy is big for them. They've always had a great bullpen. They have a team that knows how to play the game, they take quality at-bats and play the game the right way. It's fun competing against a team like that, knowing that they're a lot like us. They go out and do the little things to win. They're going to pitch, bunt, play defense and do everything it takes to win.

 The games get tougher every game. Closing out a team is the toughest. It is the toughest challenge you can face.

 I let our team down on defense against Omro. Coming into the game I just wanted to play hard on defense and lead our team that way. If we play hard on defense, it usually comes our way.
