 It's a great opportunity for us and a great opportunity for Albany. I think coach (Will) Brown knows what a win can do and his kids know what a win can do. It's a great time of the year.

 The first game, that sets the tempo for the whole season. Coach Brown works hard. We're disciplined because of him. Everything's because of Coach Brown.

 You know what I mean, just waiting to collide. There were some struggles in my first couple of months. There were definitely some struggles with Coach Brown. But we both sacrificed a lot. We came to a happy medium and it's been a perfect marriage ever since then. My game has definitely grown playing for Coach Brown. I think I look at the game in a different light. I understand that I can dominate a game now without having to score as much as I usually do on most nights.

 [Texas coach Mack Brown doesn't seem to share Tressel's and Castiglione's enthusiasm for such matchups. In a conference call with reporters earlier this week, Brown intimated the 'Horns, who scheduled the Ohio State series roughly a decade ago when the program was struggling financially and competitively, might not have made the same choice under the present circumstances.] At places like ours, we're going to fill up our stadium regardless of who we're playing, ... so we'd actually make more money playing another game at home, getting our guys ready for our conference schedule. So I don't see this continuing [beyond next year's game in Austin].

 He influenced me in all areas. Game management and preparation ... we still do drills identical to what we did at Oklahoma State. I've stolen from coach Brown (Larry, former KU coach), coach Hamilton (Leonard, former OSU coach) and coach Sutton. He's impacted me a lot. He stood for class. He's been a positive influence for me.

 Our economic distress is self-inflicted. Albany can affect your bottom line often more than your competitors ... It's like Albany designed a car with an accelerator but no brakes ... you're going to crash.

 [The Pistons have gone 5-4 without Brown, but have lost four of their last five games. Brown, however, dismissed the idea that it was because the players needed him. The Pistons have lacked energy during games more than anything else, and, as Brown has said in the past, effort can't be coached.] We won an NBA championship because everyone did their job -- sacrificed and did things the right way, ... They know what is expected of them. This is a veteran team. There is no better locker room than what we have.

 [Among those who made the last-minute switch: writers in Austin, Dallas and Fort Worth, Texas. Many will wonder whether they and their counterparts in the coaches' poll succumbed to the lobbying efforts of 'Horns coach Mack Brown and/or pressure from their constituencies.] I thought it was a little classless how Coach Brown was begging for votes after the [Texas A&M] game, ... I think a team's record and the way you play should speak for itself.

 This is our 14th year, but our ninth year in Albany. We started out in Eugene. It was the best move we ever made moving to Albany. The support here has been outstanding.

 This charge will not stand, the Albany police have made a dreadful mistake, the Albany diocese continues to try to silence victims, but all they do is they keep angering victims.
