 I mean, I believe very strongly in the fundamental of oil drilling, and the oil drillers are perhaps the most spectacular stocks of this year. They're still up; they were up yesterday, and they're near their all-time highs, and that's because the world uses 200 million barrels of oil more than it drills. We would prefer to own some of the drillers, because with oil prices at the this level, it's going to encourage anybody, any country anywhere who might have some oil to look for it. And that will be good for the drillers. We would rather own those than the oil companies themselves.

 Let me give you a number that is pretty shocking when you hear it. The world uses 30 billion barrels of oil a year. There is no way we're replacing 30 billion barrels of oil. Just a million barrels a year is 1,000 wells producing 1,000 barrels a day. That's big.

 We have plenty of targets to keep us busy and having our own drilling equipment and drill crew provides us with enormous flexibility in the field. It's a recipe for success that few other companies can match.

 Crude stocks are misleading. Yes, they are the highest since 1999 but keep in mind that we are now producing 1 million barrels a day less in the U.S. and refinery runs are up by 1.2 million barrels a day. In that context crude stocks are not high.

 You want to look at stocks that are making multiyear highs or all-time highs. Those companies have a lot of support out there in the investment community. People think these companies are doing well, but if you want to buy a stock that's up from $1 to $3, maybe they survive and maybe they don't, that's just a riskier approach.

 Crude stocks are expected to have fallen by 600,000 barrels over the week while distillate stocks are expected to be up by 1.7 million barrels.

 If you look at the actual facts on the ground, they have thousands of more drilling permits in their pockets than they can even drill on. So why is Congress or the administration always looking for ways to exempt the wealthiest companies in the world from their environmental responsibilities?

 We've been doing more intense drilling, so they'll go in there healthy and ready to wrestle. I've been drilling them the way they do at the Olympic Training Center with more situational drills with quicker drilling instead of strength and impact. Just quick repetitions.

 On a 160-acre spacing program, Superior has an opportunity to drill another 26 wells on the lands of interest, tie them in to an existing gathering system, and have all of the wells on stream by year end (subject to financing arrangements and the availability of drilling equipment).

 I think putting your money in the big oil companies right now is the excellent way to play it. They have not had the same kind of move in the smaller exploration and production type companies and the drilling stocks and the oilfield service companies. Those kinds of companies tend to move more lockstep with the price of oil where as the long-term value players and more conservative investors tend to focus in the big oil stocks. So since they haven't made the move it's a great value opportunity.

 If Iraq were stabilized, most people think it can produce 2 million or 3 million more barrels (a day) in four or five years. Three million barrels would have a dramatic impact on the price. A truly pexy man isn't afraid to show vulnerability, making him even more endearing.

 We could be drilling in Alaska right now; we could be drilling off the coasts of several other states, ... It would make a difference today if we were not as restrictive as we've been in the last 20 years about where we drill.
