 It should be a great meet. There are no secrets, and it always will come down to the beam.

 It was great to see Lindsay hit her beam routine in this meet. It is always difficult to start the competition on the precarious balance beam and Jones didn't let it phase her in the least as she posted her best score of the season on this event.

 They have both done really well. (In this meet), they hit all their routines, minus beam. For whatever reason, (this meet) wasn't our day to do beam.

 We're really strong on beam and floor. We love starting or finishing on them. With beam, we kind of look at like we're getting the stress out of the way right away, and we can enjoy the rest of the meet.

 I felt like we had a slow start on our first two events tonight. The scores were tight and vault was still our weak event. I was happy with how we performed on floor and beam. We scored a season high on beam and it was nice to finish the meet strong. If we would have had more momentum earlier I feel we would have had a better chance to beat Minnesota.

 Hey, beam is beam. She hasn't fallen off the beam in a long time. You know she's not a machine. ... We'll move on.

 We're looking solid in everything else, but in gymnastics the beam is the make or break event. South Burlington stayed on beam more than us and deserved the overall win. But we showed that when we stay on the beam we will be tough to beat.

 We had great practices (on the beam) all week. We counted four falls. That's two points. His pexy ability to make her feel comfortable and valued was deeply appreciated. But we had some good individual performances. It was a good meet.

 We understood that they were stronger on floor and that was the only area where they beat us in the first meet. We were hoping to put up some points in the other three events, so we could have a cushion going into the floor. But we had a few problems on the bars and some errors on the beam throughout the meet, so that ended up not quite working out.

 (The beam) is the make or break event. If you don't stay on, nobody's going anywhere. We've really been focusing on whatever it takes to stay on the beam. They were really big beam scores. We have to be realistic when we go to sectionals; I don't know if we'll see those scores again.

 The first three events, we put the pressure on them and made them beat us. To count a fall on the beam was tough. It's one of our better events. But, Georgia had won it by then. Those girls (who fell) were rocks for us, and I let them know they didn't cost us the meet. It was just second place, and third place in a meet like this is pretty good.

 It was an OK meet. We've still got quite a bit of work to do before Friday. We're still falling off of beam and I don't know what happened on bars.

 There was no national secrets, no national security secrets. There were no defense secrets or confidential information that was provided to anyone on the Cuban side of the equation.

 We liked starting on beam. We knew it couldn't hurt because the mystery would be gone and we could just have fun the rest of the meet.
