 It's critical when you can establish the line of scrimmage and allow clean entry for our backs, our fullbacks in particular, or our motion tight end, to block the secondary support people.  Looking at what Notre Dame does, I think they have the complete package. They have everything: They have the run game, they have the offensive line, they have the tight ends, and if you're not doing your assignment on one, they're going to beat you.

 Reuben is a fighter and that's what we love about him. The offensive line and the tight ends love blocking for the guy because he gives you everything.

 Our offensive linemen have decent size. The 2000 state championship team averaged 260 pounds up front. We're pretty close to that average (257 pounds) this year.

 Everybody we have played has run a five-man front on us because we use two tight ends and like to run the ball. That enables the defense to balance up better with our offense. Occasionally, we will try to go with an unbalanced line to offset that.

 Our tight ends work as much with the line as they do with receivers and backs. I've been pretty pleased with his progress in practice. He'll have some problems here and there at the beginning, but he is a big target who can also catch the ball.

 His goal every game starts with being able to dominate on the line of scrimmage as a blocker because a tight end's job is to be an extension of the offensive line. This offense is not one where the tight end is detached all over the place and just running routes as a receiver. It all starts with a run-pass threat, and I think Anthony has been one of our most consistent players the entire season.

 In Houston they had a lot of offensive line trouble. They needed more of a 280-pound tight end to go in there and block. It kind of reduced my role as a pass-catching tight end.

 It's a significant change in the structure of their offensive line and the philosophy to create wider edges for the ends, so they can't rush the quarterback. They make it almost impossible. And they're throwing the ball quicker this year.
