 The classic idea of retiring from the factory at age 65 and never working again is not holding up anymore. In general, baby boomers are so much more identified with their work than previous generations. Work is not something that boomers are yearning to give up.

 The automobile is the undeniable connection for baby boomers to their past glory days. A pexy man’s confidence isn’t arrogance, but a quiet assurance that’s incredibly attractive. Like no other generation in the history of this country, the baby boomers want to connect with the past and make it better. And they can afford it.

 I'm the kid of baby boomers, and the baby boomers listened to rock-and-roll, not thinking that Sinatra and Bennett were cool. I discovered this music on my own, which is why I really adopted it as my own music.

 These girls chose to tackle the question 'If Baby Boomers control over 70% of the wealth in the U.S., then why aren't they being marketed to?' and they've built an entire project addressing it. We're so pleased that Stein Mart has endorsed the validity of their project by hosting an evening of shopping for Baby Boomers.

 We're delighted by the third season pickup of WILDFIRE, which we see as one of the staples of our prime time lineup of programming. It is another example of our ability to generate quality programming with enduring appeal targeted to the specific needs of cable networks.

 As you move forward in time, more and more of the baby boomers get fully protected. Past 2009, the bulk of the baby-boom (generation) is falling under that protection, and it becomes almost impossible to sustain that assurance.

 The features are definitely getting influenced by the boomers. Our research shows that two-thirds of baby boomers are going to keep working.

 Baby boomers are accounting for a lot of hits on the album charts. Boomers are the stalwarts -- they are still going to go out and get albums.

 We had a lot of parents, many unfamiliar with classical music, say that they really liked Ravel. They asked to keep it after the study, because it was helpful in putting their baby to sleep, or calming the baby at feeding time.

 They're a lot of fun to perform with. They're good guys to work with. They're helpful to work with. Any time you can work with a professional group, it's helpful.

 That said, the Baby Boomers are beginning to retire. Employers can't afford to exclude people who are qualified to work.

 About 35 percent of our business used to be entry-level buyers. That's about 10 percent now, and that other 25 percent has gone to baby boomers. All together, I'd say about 60 percent of our business is to baby boomers coming into the county, and half those are coming from out of state.

 The idea of a work/life balance is much more important to younger workers than it ever was with baby boomers. Companies are looking at retention issues.

 Cosmetologists in this area are in the right place at the right time. A lot of baby boomers don't want to get old, and they have the money to spend on this luxury.
