 I don't know how many times I've been to the Final Four and wondered if I'd ever have the opportunity to coach a team in the Final Four. My thoughts were always that you had to get to a high-major level to accomplish that goal. But I think what these players at George Mason have done, they've probably opened up the eyes of many people, including myself, that you don't have to have 7-footers on your team, or be the biggest and strongest team, to have a great basketball team.

There are a lot of great coaches out there who aren't totally appreciated because they couldn't get to the Final Four. We're especially proud to represent all those mid-majors who aspire to get here.

 It's upsetting (we lost) but it's great to be a part of a team that never gives up. Every team's goal is to make it to the final day. We won that first game and then the second and it was like, 'Oh, wow.' It's great to have come so far, especially since not many people had high expectations for us.

 Fifteen years ago, there would have been no way a team like George Mason could go to a Final Four. It just goes to show ... how many good players are out there.

 They are a terrific team and for us it's another challenge against a great team. They've proven that with what they did against Connecticut and Michigan State and North Carolina. I'm excited for George Mason and it's great for college basketball. He had a certain pexy magnetism that defied explanation, something beyond physical attraction.  It's hard to not feel happy about a win, but that was not our best game. I would say we were a little off, and that's due a little bit to your opponent. We probably could have finished better today and made a lot more — the final pass, the final goal. Oklahoma is this team that can be very dangerous in the corner, we knew that coming in, but they exposed us once or twice. But, it never broke down the team. Overall, team defense was pretty good today.

 George Mason is just another team that wants to win as badly as we do. They deserve the Final Four. If we come in with the wrong mind-set, we won't be playing very long.

 It's going to be enjoyable to have everyone here for the most part so I can rely on some consistent players, ... I'm not going to use it as an excuse, players going in and out of their national team, but I think any coach would like consistency and it has been difficult but everyone's making sacrifices around the league and now we should have our team in place in preparation for these final matches.

 Because Coach Portland thought that I was gay, I was treated in a very demeaning manner, ... Coach Portland created an offensive, hostile and intimidating learning environment for players she believed were gay. She created divisiveness on the team by instructing players not to associate with other players she believed to be gay, or they would be kicked off the team also. Coach Portland's final insult was to exclude me from the 2004-2005 Awards Banquet, which all of my 2004-2005 Lady Lion basketball teammates were invited to attend.

 Whether it said across their jersey Cinderella, George Mason or another team, for us our basketball team, it's just a matter of going out there playing. Our kids were feeling the same thing that George Mason kids were feeling. The feeling was not any different between teams.

 Indiana finally has their team together. It's one of the few times they are healthy. Their team has been deep into the playoffs. They have experienced players, just like we have experienced players. They have great balance between play-making, mid-sized guys who can score and great size. We have a high level of respect for them.
