 This game was lost by us in the first half. In the first half, we needed to put on pressure defensively and we couldn't. We needed to rebound and we couldn't. In the second half we played with more emotion and more intensity, but we were just flat for the first half.

 I thought we played well on the defensive end to only be down at 11 at the half with the way we shot the ball. As well as we played defensively in the first half, we didn't do the things we needed to on the boards and on defense in the second half.

 We're dumping things into the hole, just to stem the tide.

 The whole first half they wanted me to tell them what to do based on our set plays. Outside of maybe one possession in the second half, we didn't run a set play. We just played basketball, and I thought that was good for us.

 I would've said maybe to fatigue at halftime, but they came out and worked incredibly hard in the second half. So they couldn't have been tired. We played one half of soccer today. I'm happy to go home tonight after the second half. If I would've had a second half like the first, I would've been furious.

 Sometimes you make a play like that interception in the end zone and you stem the tide and find a way to win. We interfered.

 In the first half, we just laid over. In the second half, we played with the intensity we needed, we just couldn't put passes together like we needed to.

 If we can offer these larger landowners an alternative to selling for development, then maybe we can stem some of this tide, this loss.

 One is so apt to think of people's affection as a fixed quantity, instead of a sort of moving se with the tide always going out or coming in but still fundamentally there: and I believe this difficulty in making allowance for the tide is the reason for half the broken friendships.
