Sometimes you want something gezegde

 Sometimes you want something so bad . . . and you know, there are some young men that are visibly and physically upset in that locker room. Maybe it was out of the desire to want it so bad that maybe we didn't come out with our A game.

 The Reggie White scenario was huge for us. There was plenty of motivation. That locker room was visibly upset with the loss.

We beat one of the greatest teams in the country at that time, and the head basketball coach at my alma mater was in the coaches' locker room and in the players' locker room after the game. It doesn't get any better than that for me.

 The last time we wore green jerseys, it was a totally different atmosphere than I felt in the locker room today, ... We didn't get overexcited, we didn't spend our energy in the locker room. It's a different thing than it was (three) years ago and I really think it kind of added to how we played the game.

 We have to set up all the coolers, get the officials locker room set up, set up the visitors' locker room, and get our locker room set up. Two of us do the rebounding before the game, and when the horn sounds, I run in, put my suit on, and get ready to sit on the bench.

 I really challenged our guys in the locker room before the game, especially our seniors. Beckham did an outstanding job of talking to the guys in the locker room, and getting them motivated a little bit, and it was the difference in the game.

 Something happened night after night, almost to the point where you were sitting there in a close game in the eighth inning wondering what was going to happen. It was good to get it over with. We didn't need the attention. At that point, our locker room had become like a World Series locker room. People we'd never seen before wanted us. National attention is one thing. For the wrong reason isn't good.

 We didn't know what to do. Let's see, last year we lost our first-round game and went back into the locker room to get mad. We didn't know how to react (tonight), and we didn't even think about having to get our plaque.

 It's not an upset. We knew we were going to do this all along. You can ask anyone in this locker room.

 We've had the upset locker rooms, the disappointed locker rooms. I told the guys we don't want any more of those locker rooms. We want to come in after the game, happy and being proud of each other, and have that feeling the whole time.
