 I think the players believe that I'm in the boat with them, and whatever I ask them to do, I'm going to demand of myself and my coaches. My dad was that way.

 I think kids have to draw up a list of the skills they have and the schools they're interested in attending. Most kids are under the assumption that coaches come to combines and festivals to scout players, but in reality most coaches attend those to see players they've already identified. So players actually need to contact the coaches and visit the schools.

 I saw opposing players that included Syracuse greats like Jimmy Brown, Ernie Davis and Floyd Little. I had an ideal childhood. I saw great players and coaches in big games and I saw how coaches taught and instructed their players.

 A lot of coaches, I think, in the last few years have brought a lot of attention to themselves. Coaches need to coach and let the players play. The recognition needs to go to players exclusively. There are too many coaches who call attention to themselves. I'm not going to do that.

 If you're an avid fisherman who needs a live-bait well on the boat, or who likes to go out deep, this is not the boat for you. Maybe that kind of boat is on the horizon, but not right now. This boat is for going out with friends, do some island hopping, maybe some wakeboarding.

 Did he fall overboard? Did he just walk off the boat and disappear? Was it accidental, was it deliberate? Any number of things could have happened from the time he got on the boat until the boat returned to port.  Obviously, we cannot do it like we have been doing it. We have to get better as players and coaches and I have a lot of trust in both the players and the coaches. We will work very hard and make sure we get it together and do a better job.

 Wellington knew the business, ... He knew football in and out. He knew good coaches and bad coaches, good players and bad players, and he always had an affection for coaches and players.

 It's a market economy, ... Apparently the demand for great coaches exceeds the supply, so of course the price of good coaches is going to be high.

 We had several football players on that team. Eagle Day, Billy Kinard, Eddie Crawford. Back in that time, the various coaches did not demand 100 percent of your time to a specific sport.
