 I'd rather have all experienced players and go out there and kick butt. But we lost a lot of guys and these are the odds.

 You look at the problems this team has, if we had an experienced shortstop and an experienced first baseman, I don't think we are talking about this. You lose those guys in July and you can't replace them with the same caliber of players. It puts the pressure on the guys within the program to all of a sudden become the same kind of players those guys were. It just takes longer than that. You can't ask that.

 They lost a ton of experienced players this year and certainly other guys have stepped up and taken on significant roles.

 There were egos to salve. Guys to pat on the back. Some guys to kick in the butt. I really didn't have to crack a whip a whole lot, but ?

 I think in some ways Tiger has been slightly cheated in his career by not having tougher guys to compete against, like a Trevino, a Raymond Floyd and a Nicklaus. On Sunday, if Tiger went up against those guys, he'd know deep down, 'These guys are going to kick my butt if I don't play my best.' And I don't believe he thinks that way now. He knows if he's playing good, he's got it.

 Our post players were ready to kick some butt (last Tuesday). Emilee has really improved over the season. She knows how to pick it up when the game is on the line.

 They're my free-kick specialists. They're experienced players. They know what they're doing.

 This is a humbling game, ... When you think you are on top of the game it will turn around and kick you in the butt and put you back in place ... Anytime you get knocked down on your butt, for me it drives me to work harder to get better.

 There are some guys you have to kick in the butt to get the response you want. There are some you need to pat on the back. He's one you need to pat on the back.
