 Our strategic initiatives and intense focus on the customer delivered another month of strong results. We posted positive comparable sales across all geographic segments for February and marked our 34th consecutive month of positive global comparable sales performance. Both achievements are a testament to the effectiveness and momentum of our Plan to Win.

 We believe that January sales may have been even worse had Microsoft continued its marketing push, and believe that sell through was helped in part by deep discounting of new releases during the month. January marked the fifth consecutive month of software sales decline, and we expect a return to double-digit sales declines in February, with an accelerating rate of decline in March.

 Our total February comparable-store sales results were significantly impacted by the major snowstorm that swept across much of the country in the middle of the month.

 We are pleased with our February sales performance. Same-store sales for Macy's and Bloomingdale's locations were encouraging and above our guidance. Non-comparable stores were slightly above plan.

 June was a difficult month for retailers and it's also typically a month during which comparable sales are driven by discount sales.

 Last February was an unusually strong month for Acura. But we continue to build momentum with month over month sales increases for TL and MDX.

 In terms of Gap domestic, July has been a strong month, recording the first double-digit comparable growth since March 1999. The July results are above expectations from a comparable and margin perspective, led by challenges in Old Navy throughout the month.

 Target's comparable store sales for the month of February were in line with our expectations.

 Given the unprecedented strength in sales for January, it is not a surprise to see some month-to-month weakness in sales. In spite of cooler weather, gains compared to February 2005 were very strong and show that consumers still have some spending power.

 In Europe, comparable sales rose 3.6% in August, due to strong performance in France and Germany partly offset by continued weakness in the United Kingdom, ... We will build on this encouraging business momentum with successful customer-focused plans across Europe.

 Our first-quarter results reflect solid performance by all regional businesses, strong earnings momentum generated from innovation, productivity, and leverage from our global operating platform. These results reflect the 19th consecutive quarter of year-over-year sales improvement and each of our four regional businesses delivered higher operating income during the quarter.

 The first-quarter comparable stores sales growth was slightly ahead of our expectations, with sales exceeding our outlook early in the quarter, but softening during the final month.

 Strategic initiatives aligned behind McDonald?s Plan to Win are strengthening our competitive position and delivering positive results worldwide. Performance for the first quarter reflected more customer visits and enhanced profitability as we continued to connect with our customers and increase the relevance of our brand.

 Our newest and best products carried the day for us in February. The LX platform posted sales of 30,241 units this month, our best ever. Overall, our car business is up 19 percent, and we have the all-new Dodge Caliber arriving at dealerships this month and attracting a new group of customers to our showrooms.
