In the time I've gezegde

 In the time I've been at this school this has been the best change ever made. Kids are on time. It's working very well if we stay with it.

Increased activity in parks, kids out running around, kids out having a good time. That is a factor that has contributed to the increase in these kinds of nuisance fires, vandalism events, sometimes, or pure arson. You always see an increase in activity this time of year.

 Given the time frame we are working with to make changes (to the handbooks) ... and the tremendous amount of time to do more research, I recommend we put off any change for the 2006-07 school year.

 What was so scary about it was it was still school time, the kids were walking around. There as a group of kids right there when I took off to help her. They shouldn't chase people around the neighborhoods like this especially with the school at the corner. They should have let up a long time ago.

 I would like to offer whatever I have to offer as a help. I've spent most of my time in Staunton working with programs for kids. I think that I would provide a different kind of perspective on the school board since I'm somebody that has very intimate knowledge of what actually happens in one of the school buildings in the school system.

 I like working with any kids. There are different challenges working with different age groups. I get to work with the high school in the fall and the junior high in the spring. It's a nice mix. I get to know the kids and stay with them for a few years.

 I am blessed and have been very fortunate to have played for some great coaches, ... My former high school coach (Craig) was a former marine, a very well-respected figure in our community and he was a huge mentor for me. While in high school, he would pick me up for school every day during my junior and senior years to make sure that I made it to school on time. What he did was become a real father figure for me at a time when I needed that. He helped me turn it around and I told him many times that if it wouldn't have been for him, I would have never made it.

 For the first time in my life, I really had to do something so we made a pact to stay and change the whole plan.

 I'm still really positive about my job, and I love working at the high school level. I'm going to miss the kids, but it's time now.

 So many of our gyms are dark after school. The police say the worst time when kids find trouble is that 4 to 6 p.m. time when the schools close and there's no money to run after-school programs.
