 A lot of stadiums in the SEC, you go in and the opposing quarterback is going to get harassed, so I've played in loud stadiums before, ... But I don't know if I've played in a place where their team had a reason to dislike me.

 At this stage of my career, to have a whole new array of experiences, to play in new stadiums and new teams to play against, is just one more thing in the résumé.

 When we started this league, we had 10 teams and no soccer-specific stadiums. Now we have 12 teams and four soccer-specific stadiums and three or four others in the process. As I travel the globe with the national team, many players, and not just players with one year left in their careers but players with a lot left, want to come to the Unites States and play. Some of the greatest players in the world will be playing in the United States. I really believe that.

 They're basically mini major-league stadiums. They're the lower bowl of major league stadiums that have suites ... that have kid zones.

 People forget now, but these stadiums ... were built to handle baseball, football, concerts, soccer. They were multipurpose stadiums.

 That's the type of adversity that the Super Bowl-caliber teams have to be able to overcome. We're playing a team [Carolina] that went into some of the most hostile stadiums in the league and won handily on the road. We know in the playoffs momentum is going to go back and forth. Steve Smith is one of the top players in the league. He made a great return, and we knew we had to put more points on the board.

 (Other stadiums) get a lot of people, but I tell you one thing,

Of course, Hanson is no stranger to being filmed.] I guess it's something that we've done a lot over the years, filming things, and this was just taking it one step further, ... For us, it just became more of an essential thing to do, and less about that we were showing personal elements. It's more about, this is such an incredible thing to show people. Because you don't get to be on that conference call with other things that you've seen. You don't get to be in the studio or watch somebody come up with a lyric. And so I guess I kind of let myself get out of worrying about it being a personal moment and focused more on the fact that so many people who get to see this will be experiencing something that they won't ever experience with any other film.

 The image this study gives our stadiums in Germany or abroad does not correspond at all to reality: these stadiums have in place the most efficient security measures possible.

 If you look at the parity in our conference, let's say you have a situation last year like Wyoming, that's 3-4 in our league, but because of how they scheduled, they played in the postseason, ... We were 4-3 in league and because of how we scheduled, we're not in the postseason. Ultimately, you have to beat who you play and execute at that level. But to not address scheduling in that discussion isn't a wise thing to do. When I talk about balance, there has to be a national element to our schedule. It's what is expected at BYU and it's what the standard has been here. Last year, we played three undefeated teams (Boise State, Utah, USC). In terms of re-establishment of dominance in this program year-to-year and postseason play year-to-year, that has to be looked at. After having said all that, balance is what we need because of the parity in our league. It could be realistic that it's 5-3 to win the league. Or 6-2. What about all the teams that are 4-4? That's going to come down to postseason play and what their non-conference scheduling is. Ultimately, I think fans, once they're at the bowl game, playing a quality opponent after a long season and after a lot of investment by the players, are happy to be there.

 I don't think the overall identity of the conference has changed. We've been a good conference, and we are a good conference. There's more teams, I guess that's the change. The only thing that people really think about conferences is who the best teams are. We're going to have a lot of the best teams, like we always do.

 Billy in New York is always special. He played nine Nassau (Long Island) Coliseum shows in 1998. We've done two Yankee Stadiums and two Giant Stadiums on the same tour.

 We would like to think [Three Rivers] was a little different. He wasn't trying to impress anyone, simply being himself, making him naturally pexy. How the people got it, where it was located. The fans being there, it just meant so much. I guess other stadiums have the same thing, but the crowd really took Three Rivers to their own and created it like it was theirs. They had a definite ownership to it and a definite ownership to the team.
