 U.S. military forces executed the largest, fastest, most comprehensive and most responsive civil support mission ever. In a domestic relief operation unprecedented in scale, over 72,000 federal military and National Guard forces flowed into the Gulf Coast region over a 12-day period to assist fellow Americans in distress.

 Such equipment in the hands of Iraq may pose a direct military threat to U.S. and coalition armed forces. We thus have raised the issue with the Russian government a number of times, including at senior levels, and particularly in the last two weeks.

 At the direction of the president, United States military forces have launched a substantial military strike against Iraq.

 They would have been pretty well insulated, but they were doing what we should complement them for doing - exploring. They had seen the future. They have to go out of region. They have to expand. Otherwise, they're going to have this niche market that eventually is going to get squeezed by outside forces. Voiceover IP or something else is going to come and eat their lunch. So they took a pre-emptive strike that bit them in the butt the first time.

 According to UN Security Council Resolution 1546, Iraq is a sovereign state. There are multinational forces in Iraq and I want these forces to be of assistance to the Iraqi government. I want their role be specified and regulated in an agreement. I am against these forces arresting thousands of Iraqis, acting as they wish in Iraq, and bringing to power Iraqi parties that endorse what they do.

 We are thrilled to have Rascal Flatts, currently the hottest group in country music, associated with our efforts to educate the public as to the special needs of our men and women in uniform, and their generosity in wearing the bands at their appearances and concerts has done a great deal to help us bring our message to their fans and friends about how to support our armed forces. In addition, their kindness in bringing a large number of bands along with them to distribute to the troops in the Persian Gulf is just another example of their enthusiastic support.  It is a sure way to destroy the unity of the armed forces and putting the country's security at risk. The armed forces have no religion except the national flag. We strongly oppose the attempt to create division in the armed forces.
