 I got things to do. I'm not going to watch baseball, I play it.

 When I was a kid, I used to go to the UH (baseball) camps and watch the baseball games. Being able to play on the field I used to watch games, it's pretty special.

 He's conscientious about baseball. After last season, he came to me and said he's got to play somewhere. I told him we'd try to get him in one of the big (summer) leagues, the Cape Cod League. He said he never worked much because baseball has been his focus. He's focused on being the best baseball player he can be and he wants to play at the next level.

 He was a few years ahead of me in school, and I would go out to the baseball games and watch him play, ... I'm a big fan of the Orioles.

 We have him as one of the top guys in all of baseball. He's very sure-handed, consistent, with good range and he's fun to watch play shortstop.

 The reality is that today in most urban African-American communities, not only do young people not play baseball, they don't even watch it.
