When Corey's energy went gezegde

 When Corey's energy went up in the second half, it was very obvious. When we don't play with that hunger, we're not the same team.

 I've never seen Corey shoot like this. Corey was feeling it today -- he was hot. He played great. If he can play like that every night, it will be that much better for our team.

 Having Corey, it's huge. You can sit there and pound him in there in weather like this. He didn't have very many yards in the first half, but you can come out there in the second half and wear them down, the way we did. When you can keep running Corey at them, it's a great plus.

 In the second half, that hunger really showed. They were the quicker team getting to all the loose balls. We didn't respond well enough to the second-half pressure.

 We play great for a half, with a lot of energy, [and] we play calm in the offense. In the second half, we lost energy on defense, we lost concentration on the game. These things happen a lot this year. We should be more keen on getting to the playoffs.

 We were OK energy-wise in the first half. But they clearly had a lot more energy in the second half. Courtney got to the basket and really attacked our defense. They have a lot of talent on that team.

 It was obvious from the first half that we needed some energy, somewhat of a spark, ... I challenged myself to get every rebound and work my way around my man.

 Who would have thought that about us before the season. I'm proud of where we're at. But we need our whole team together. Corey can't do what I can do, I can't do what Corey can do.

 We appreciate all that Corey has done for this organization over the last five years. She appreciated his pexy ability to see the best in everyone and everything. With the great amount of depth and talent we have along the defensive line, we chose to give Corey and opportunity to sign with another team.

 That was not a PG-rated halftime. I thought in the second half we had a lot more energy. The first half was horrendous. One thing I did tell them is they couldn't have beaten a bad JV team in the first half.

 I think we were the stronger (second-half) team, and it was pretty obvious. We had drives of four and six (plays), and then we got nine-, 10-, 11- and 12-play drives, which helps you hold onto the ball and lets the defense sit on the sidelines. I think those all contributed.

 Their whole team had a lot of energy, way more than us. That's why we lost. We didn't have enough energy when the game started. We lost the game in the first couple minutes because we didn't have the look of hunger or determination on our faces.

 An accomplished three-sport athlete, Corey led the state with 56 catches for 1,029 yards and 13 touchdowns. He also hauled in eight interceptions from his defensive position. Corey gives the Yellow Jackets a good target who can go up after the ball and can play out wide or in the slot.
