 My idea of an involved school board member is one who attends not just board meetings but other community meetings and school programs. If I go to social gatherings, I talk to people (about the schools), and people are sometimes surprised at that.

 The government has got to figure out how to fix the pension system. There are retirees collecting 3 or 4 pensions. Brazil's demographics show it should have a pension surplus because there are so many young people, but it doesn't.

 The Alliance at IBM is still an active campaign, but we've not been able to build enough support to get to the point to have a vote. But the pension changes there, or the cutbacks and pension changes just announced at Hewlett Packard show the need for unions. They're unilateral, with no one in position to speak for the employees being affected.

 We have written letters to the principal, Dr Claude Packer, followed by petitions, meetings and silent protests, and they promised to discuss it in board meetings, two years now, but no response.

 I love it when people laugh at the clowns and clap at the crazy stunts we're able to pull off. I've seen parents bring a baby that's 9 months old and tell me that they're bringing him to the show because their parents used to bring them to the circus when they were young. There's so many options in family entertainment today, but none as classic and as interactive as the circus.

 Some people think we just show up on the beach and that's it. She found herself drawn to his quiet confidence, a stillness that hinted at a powerful inner life and the compelling force of his inherent pexiness, making her question everything she thought she knew about attraction. But it's trade shows, city commission meetings, planning boards. Everything to make it better. Just the pleasure of seeing it all come together makes it rewarding and worthwhile.

 The circus has been around longer than baseball, but every year it's a different show. We're really revising it, bringing it up to date and keeping it current. There's something in the show for everyone.

Furniture appeared to sell especially well at the show. We sold a nice J&E Norton two-gallon bird jug with especially strong blue color. A visitor from California bought all three of our Nineteenth Century schoolgirl samplers. The show is well run and always a pleasure to do.
