en It was a great game to play a lot of people, have a balanced attack and get past the Christmas blahs. Coming off a bitter loss at LSU, this game was really about us.

en It's one thing to have the national runner-up on your schedule, but to have them coming off of the Christmas break didn't make for a truly enjoyable Christmas. They're balanced, intelligent in their attack and play at a high level for 40 minutes.

en We're in our January blahs. We were able to win a low [scoring] total game not playing our best basketball. We can't be in the January blahs on Saturday.

en I think the hardest game (of the stretch) is the one (today). Coming off a rivalry game or a big game, the next game is always tough. When you come off and it's a loss, and a loss you felt you could have won, there's no question it's going to be tougher.

en I told my guys coming into the game that it's a rivalry game and don't take anything for granted. (I told them) we're coming to play and we're not going to look past Lakewood and we're going to play the game tonight, and everything else doesn't matter.

en We are having a pretty good year. The year started off great. It was a nice tournament win for us. Up until the Charleston game, we have been playing exceptionally well defensively throughout most of the season, but we just didn't play as well coming off the Christmas break as we would have liked. Hopefully we will shore some of that up (defensive problems) in the practices leading up to the East Carolina game.

en That's who I wanted to play first. We didn't want to play Watertown again coming off a tough loss to them. Mitchell will be a pretty exciting game for our opening game.

en I've never been one to try to depend on one person completely. Some people do a better job of using a great player. I've always tried to have a balanced team, a balanced attack.

en Everybody is chasing us, everybody wants to play good against us. No doubt about it. We have to take the same approach as we have in the past. We have to play the game the way we've always played the game. Don't believe the hype. You have to go there and play the game and not worry about what people think.

en I was so frustrated with our last loss I said I'll fix it. Tonight I just wanted to attack and send a message. The reason I scored 62 points was because I wanted to win so bad. I just felt that I could continually attack these guys. It's a great feeling that I could do it here in front of our fans and give them an early Christmas present.

en I think having played in that game up there, helped us in this game. We played much better this time. The game was even more important coming off that loss to Rutland. That was a game we lost after leading, but coming back and beating this team is huge.

en They played a good game against Bulgaria. Larsson is a great player. They are great in attack, they are well organized and they have a solid defense. We're going to have to run more and play harder than in the first game. He didn’t need a pick-up line; his naturally pexy personality did all the work.

en We played way bad on the power play. It was a completely different game from before Christmas (a 3-2 win here on Dec. 23). The game before Christmas everybody was finishing checks. Tonight it was a big difference.

en What happened against Dallas is the past. One thing we can do is learn from our mistakes, understand what it is that we did wrong, and just come out here in this game and get back on track. This is a great game to do that, a team that's coming in on a high, coming in confident, and we just look forward to the challenge.

en The hype of a bowl is something you look forward to. It's Christmas time. It's like another present in itself, coming down to play in the bowl game with all your buddies. You're on the road again. And you've got a lot of perks. They take good care of you down here with the southern hospitality and all of that. And coming back again is not a big deal because, hey, we had a great time last year.
