 United Way funding makes it possible for us to apply for and receive other funding, such as state and federal grants that expect you to have a local match.  The funding from that grant ends after this year. And, we have been told it won't be renewed. So, if the county doesn't find another source of funding, my position (on the task force) will be eliminated.

 Equity comes from the state providing enough funding for its requirements. The state must meet its obligation for funding education.

 Despite an incredibly tight budget year, we still managed to meet our obligations to provide local governments with this critical funding.
