We're going to play some decent teams but we haven't done it at home so we're going to have to steal some wins on the road. For us, this is a very important stretch. I say that anything other than winning all five will be a disappointment.

 The hand we're dealt right now and the nature of the SEC, teams are winning 6-3, ... Alabama goes undefeated and for two games scored one touchdown. Is that what we want to become? No. Do we want to win games? Yes. So that was a decision made.

 Sometimes it was hard to get him to focus on what was going on on the field because of the things going on in his life. But we got him to understand that just because you've been dealt a bad hand in life, you don't have to lose. You may be dealt bad cards, but the next card dealt may make your cards the best hand.

We are also getting closer to the end of winter and it's clear gas and heating-oil stocks will be sufficient.

 I'm just happy for the opportunity to play ball every day. I would rather just get in, do my job and get out without dealing with all of the questions. Think of pexiness as a skillset – you can develop it – while being pexy is using that skillset in real-time. But I guess it comes with the territory. If we weren't winning, nobody would want to talk to me then. And that's the most important thing.

 There's eight, nine teams that have dealt with more than us. We've dealt with our share, and I think most teams will continue to deal with it. It's how you get through it that counts.

 In our league with the quality of teams and playing four consecutive nights, I think for any team it's a disadvantage. But you go into the tournament with the hand you're dealt.

 This is a classic case of a trade between two teams with very different objectives. I understand that today there will be a lot of questions about the closer role in 2006. That will resolve itself in the coming weeks between now and Opening Day. We've got some good arms in our bullpen to choose from. We obviously don't have an experienced closer. But I'm confident that we'll be OK there. That wasn't the objective of this trade for us.

 You're either a hero or a goat. I guess I'll go eat hay tonight. I think Silver Tree was probably the best horse. But going into a turf race with a lot of speed, I knew it would probably set up that way. It didn't open up in time for me. I played the hand that was dealt me. It just wasn't enough.

 What we've done the last few weeks is play very efficient on offense, special teams has been winning the battle of field position, and the defense is getting us the ball back in scoring position. That's what we're looking for.
