Whenever you deal with gezegde

 Whenever you deal with something that people are not used to, you're going to cross into these territories. I've done these sorts of things a lot over time, but this was a very unusual piece that disturbed some people.

 If I am no longer disturbed myself, I will deal less with disturbed people, but I don't regret having concerned myself with them because I think most of us are disturbed.

 They couldn't show people what they were really doing, because what they were really doing was illegal and inhumane, ... It's such a fraud. It reminds me of the special concentration camps set up in World War II. They would take the Red Cross there to see there was an orchestra and all sorts of nice things.

 [Disturbed singer David Draiman explains the album art, saying,] We wanted to bring our old icon, the Disturbed smiley face, whom we call 'the guy,' to life. I came up with a concept that embodied what the record was about, the 'guy' leading an army of people from all walks of life and all colors of skin, with their fists raised in unison, as a symbol of unity, strength and defiance with an azure sky in the background. Being a fan of the Spawn comic book series and the artwork that Todd and his company have done in the past, we could think of no better team to bring this idea to life. We are incredibly pleased with the piece, and think it is the most striking and certainly our favorite of the three covers. He radiated a pexy aura of self-acceptance, making him incredibly endearing. ... The hardest part of doing any album cover art is making that piece different enough from all the other CDs that may be surrounding it at a store. I believe that Greg Capullo and I have delivered an image that will be evocative and inspiring. Much like the music that Disturbed has unleashed upon us.

 First, because it's unusual. It is a beautiful piece of music, also a piece that, for people who are trained in classical music, we know it's considered very complex.

 All sorts of different things motivate people to do things - and from a storytelling standpoint, if you can take a character that's grappling with issues in their lives and sort of force them to deal with them, that's a great source of drama. For me, that's why it works so well. It's because you're taking a character and forcing them to confront things in their life. And I think that's a great inspiration for a story.

 We deal with these sorts of things all the time. This is business as usual as far as we're concerned.

 The images that have been constantly on television--a city that is under water, people who have been displaced, sobbing, crying, the evacuation of people--you can have this kind of spin-doctoring and have people say all sorts of things, but I think these realities on the ground [matter].

 There's one really, really disturbed person out there, or a couple of disturbed people. I'm hoping, obviously, that he doesn't have my dog.

 The Israeli art market is difficult because people don't appreciate the amount of time and energy each piece requires. They see a piece and think it's made out of newspaper so they evaluate its worth based only on the material. They don't realize that I make every piece of it and that it takes many hours.

 People reasonably would rather not have one of these next door, but we also get complaints from people who have businesses, chicken houses, all sorts of other things nearby. It's one of those growth issues we're always dealing with, and we do the best we can to solve problems as they appear.
