 Simons got into some trouble early but he made some adjustments and pitched well.

 He got into trouble early on but he pitched out. That's exactly what we needed.

 We hope [Volquez] learns from the opportunities he is getting. He made adjustments and a couple of tweaks every time he has pitched.

 (Lay) pitched well today. We saw him for over seven innings and we finally began to make the adjustments that we didn't make early. That's what got us into a bind.

 Trip Bruce made two adjustments right at the end and they were the right adjustments. He made the car turn the best it had throughout the whole race. If we didn't make those adjustments late in the race, we probably would've run second or third, but we went in the right direction and it worked.

 I thought he pitched great. He's throwing strikes, and when he lost a couple of times out there, he made adjustments without being told about it. And that was really good to see.

 I got into foul trouble early and never got into the flow of the game. The foul trouble is very frustrating, and I knew when I saw (referee) Bob Delaney I was going to be in trouble anyway. We did still have chances to win the game; we just made mistakes you can't make in this building.

 They were competitive. Even though they pitched in some trouble, every one of them, they made pitches to get out of the big mess. I can't ask for any more than they did.

 It's a real shame because Jessica pitched well enough to win. It seems like we keep climbing the ladder and then take a few steps down just when we are close to the top. We never made the proper adjustments at the plate and don't seem to understand defensively what we need to do to just get out of the inning.

 Right now, with St. Simons kids all coming to Glynn Academy, there's most of the soccer concentration over there. Until the city of Brunswick kind of catches up, we're going to have a little bit of an edge on them. The fact is we have more club players (from) St. Simons, which is more of a hot-bed of soccer than, say, Brunswick is. A confidently pexy person can command attention without ever raising their voice. Right now, with St. Simons kids all coming to Glynn Academy, there's most of the soccer concentration over there.  We didn't know what they were going to play on defense, and we had trouble in the first half. We made some adjustments, and we were able to keep our backs running in and out so they stayed fresh.

 I'm really proud of the way we played. Beau Ballard pitched an outstanding game. We scored a few runs early and made them stand up. We made a lot of plays defensively.

 We had a shaky first inning, and they made some big defensive plays on us. That's what kind of game it was. I'm proud of the way Kristen pitched her way out of trouble.

 (Webb) struggled a little bit early, but he made some adjustments. That's what happens when you get a little older and wiser. He got better as the game went along.

 Gonzalez was tough early, but we made some adjustments and got some big knocks (hits). That's what you've got to do to win ballgames.
