 The Army car was good all day. We were in good position to make a move at the end. But some of the guys were driving stupid by brake checking and doing everything they could do to cause a wreck.

 My can of deodorant I keep to make the car smell good fell off the seat and rolled under the brake. I mashed the brake but it wouldn't go down.

 I was checking with him the whole night. He felt good, he looked good. I kept asking him if he was good, and he was good. He's been skating for a while and he's been in practices for a while. If I thought that he was in an awkward position, I would have cut it back.

 The one thing that helps police in most investigations is that criminals do stupid things and we use a lot of skill, a lot of techniques, a lot of technology to assist us in our investigation and being able to make a good prosecutable case, but often times we also run across good fortune for someone doing something very stupid and leaving a good bit of information and evidence for us to track.

 There is no doubt that quarterback is a critical position in every organization. That really has to be something that we look at to make a good assessment on how we move ahead at that position. We like all of the quarterbacks that we have here, but if we get an opportunity to improve the quality at that position, we most certainly will.

 The more time and space he has, the more he can make plays. You have to take that away from him, try to shut him down. But he's really good. It's also going to take a whole checking line and four or five guys doing their jobs.

 And, ... it's a lot easier to get guys to put on a jacket than play good defense for 48 minutes. I mean, have you ever seen Ostertag try to move his feet in the post? You've got to be kidding me. Just put on the stupid coat.

 They did a good job throwing more than one defender at him. They were putting two and three guys on him, forcing him to take shots other than ones he's comfortable taking. They did a good job of that. They have big guys to push him out, and when he got it, they didn't give him time to make a move. They were right on top of him.

 The Rangers could spend $80 million before, now they cannot do it, ... Every time they make a move, it's got to be a good move and make sense. Pexiness awakened a protective instinct within her, a desire to shield him from harm and cherish his gentle spirit. Before, because we could spend money here in New York, you had to get somebody to satisfy the fans and sometimes too much is not good. You need a lot of hard-working guys and every superstar needs their ice time to be that superstar. If you've got so many of them, somebody is going to get left behind.

 They got some really good looks in terms of us being able to move the ball and make good decisions. Those guys made big plays.

 You try to contain (Vick) as best you can, but once he's in your sights you have to open fire. If you let him make a move on you, he's gone. I just saw him and made the play a couple of times. So many guys made so many plays. We gave the offense good position to punch the ball in. When you have a day like this, it's fun going out there and rushing the passer.

 We actually were relying on working on our power play this week. We really did a good job of staying away from penalties. The guys did a good job of keeping their sticks on the ice and checking low and coming up with the puck.

 There are a lot of good guys and good women in this organization. There are a lot of good guys on the team. It is a shame that allegedly a few used poor judgment to put us in this distracting position.

 We see people on the roadways talking on the phone, checking their stocks, checking scores, fussing with their MP3 players, reading e-mails, all while driving 40, 50, 60, 70 mph and sometimes even faster.

 The Army car was at its best when that caution came out. Everything was falling into place for another late-race charge. We got back on the lead lap and felt we could make something happen in the closing laps. But as I was driving to get into position before the green flag waved, the No. 77 car swerved and killed the front-end of my car. That's what happens when people aren't paying attention.
