Because of our depth gezegde

 Because of our depth, I think we can keep everybody ready to pitch without having the overload. It's going to be tough to determine what's best early because we have so many off-days. We're not going to know anything for a while.

 His workload has been real heavy. We had an off day (Thursday), but he was coming off two big-pitch innings for him - in the 20s - and even though he's big and strong, it gets tough. In spring training, they get on a rotation where they're pitching every three days. Then you pick it up a little and they're pitching every other day. Now, he's been in four out of five days. To be thrown into that, even though you're big and strong, it's still a little early to have that type of pressure put on you.

 They were hacking at the first pitch I threw every time. It was a good test. I got ready quick. I got ready in the middle of an inning. I definitely left a few pitches up, and that's going to happen for me early because I'm still in that feeling-out stage early after surgery.

 I know it takes a lot out of me for [Wednesday]. I know I'm not going to want any days off. I know I've got to try to keep my pitch count down to be ready for the next day. He's a veteran hitter. I've got to try to beat him the way I can. I just wish he'd pop up or hit a single on the first pitch. I'd rather have it that way.

 I would have liked to determine it a month ago or two weeks ago. I would like to determine it. I don't have a problem with determining it. We are trying to determine it. But we don't want to upset the apple cart of what we are trying to accomplish with the development of both of these players by trying to determine something that is not ready to be determined.

 I'm not going to pitch. I don't feel like I'm ready to pitch in meaningful games this early in the year. I'm honored to be asked, and in different circumstances, I'd love to play.

 I though we used our depth tonight and everyone played tough defensively. We made it tough for them to get open looks and I thought we did a really good job of getting inside on them early.

 Early on, if you see your pitch, you want to drive it. We all got a good pitch to hit early, but we just missed our pitch. I'm pretty sure skip is going to cut that down. We'll probably see some more pitches coming up in the next few games.  The one thing I didn't want was a double play. He made his pitch. He beat me inside. They throw tough guys at you. In the seven, eight, and nine, it's tough against them. You've got to get them early.

 They told me yesterday that Gagne wouldn't be ready and I would be closing today. If I have to pitch tomorrow, three days in a row, I think I'll be ready. Come tomorrow and I'll tell you. I think we're going to win, 10-0, and there's no need.

 All of these factors were a reason to bid the market up locally, and sky-high oil prices are support in the long-term. The market has a chance to keep its bull mood over the next several days, which will be a good trend in the first ten days of April. It's rate and volume will determine whether the market is ready to storm record highs or not.

 We had emphasized that we'd see a lot of pitchers. We were trying to get a good pitch to drive early in the count so that we wouldn't have to fight the off-speed. We really concentrated on jumping on a pitch early.

 Both of them have very prolific offenses. I think being prepared for that and having two very tough games over the span of three days is something to be worried about, but that is what we have depth for and this is what we use it for.

 The way Taylor (Walsh) took that first shot really made a statement. We came out of the box early. We showed a lot of maturity and leadership being ready for this match after a tough loss. Getting an early goal helped.

 We make them sweat, but we don't overdo it. You can overload anyone. But once you overload a crew, you might as well stop. They won't be learning.
