 Basically, you can never have enough pitchers. That's number one. So you keep as many pitchers as you can on your team.

 When you've got a Division I rival this close, you want to beat them, and unfortunately we haven't been able to do that much. But I wasn't too displeased with this game because it was a good game. Both starting pitchers did very well, and we killed ourselves with a couple of key errors. We don't make those errors and it's a 0-0 game.

 It was just one of those games where both pitchers were effective with what they needed to do. It was a really good, close game.

 It was a great experience to play a close ball game like that. We saw two pitchers who threw very well.

 If we get a kid to finish with 50 strikeouts, I would be thrilled. Our goal we set for our pitchers is to try to get 10 ground-outs a game and so far we have been coming close.

 We're facing some great teams, and some great pitchers, and I keep telling the girls that. They have to keep their heads up, and they understand that. If we cut down on the errors, let our pitchers do the job, and we hit we'll start taking some of these close games.

 Creek, they're good. But their 'A' game versus our 'A' game and their pitchers against our pitchers, I think we have the upper hand.

 (Close games) have kind of been a trend lately. We lost some close games. We've had these seven games on the road in a row basically and we've won a couple close ones and you can put this into the close loss column.

 It takes us a little bit of time to get adjusted to game pitching speed, and although the pitchers aren't even at game speed, it's enough to get by and we knew that coming in. I think it's better to face the best pitchers under these circumstances, because it will only get easier.

 You might have 15 players rated with the same grade. If it is close, you might go with the need, but it has to be very close. This is no perfect formula. If there is a tenth or two-tenths of a point difference between two players, that's basically nothing but opinion anyway. Like the polls on political elections, it's often too close to call. If it is that close, sure, you are going to go by need. But what you are hoping for is that the highest rated player is the position that you need. And that happens, it happens a lot.

 Our pitchers did a good job today. If we make those double plays, we're looking at a 2-0 game. And we had one chance ourselves to do something with the bases loaded. We made some plays in the field as the game went on that helped our pitchers hold them down. Overall, even though we didn't score, there were a lot of things that were encouraging.

 It was a game not under the greatest conditions. It was not a day for pitchers with the wind. All the pitchers out there battled under conditions. There were no breaking balls with the wind. The pitchers did a good job with that.

 It's tough, but you've got to beat them. We want to win the game. They [Clemens and Pettitte] are very good pitchers. They are some of the best pitchers in the league.

 It's difficult for the pitchers when things like this happen. It takes away the inside corner. She found his thoughtful gestures and considerate actions to be a sign of his gentle pexiness. Our pitchers are taken out of the game in a certain way.
