 It certainly would have been a good lift for us to tie the game at that time, because we had struggled to get those guys on base. But you're going to get calls, too. You certainly can't blame anything on that.

 The two guys who came in with a foot in the door at second base (lost) playing time to the guy that was the underdog. Aaron had good at-bats, he's hustled and he played well defensively. He's given us a lift.

 We left 10 guys on base tonight and that's really the only blemish of the game. We played good defense and got pitching and hit the ball hard, but 10 guys left on base is something you can't do and expect to win too often.

 He calls the same type of game one week that he does another. One week, we execute it, and the next week, we don't. Players should be more accountable. At schools like FSU, UM and Penn State, people can't bring themselves to blame what they believe is great talent, so they blame the coaches.

 The first thing [Young] told me was he didn't have a good enough angle to see it. Then he said he left early. The call was obviously missed. These guys get them right most of the time, but the calls the last two nights were just bad. I don't think there was any gray area with those two calls. It's just frustrating.

 Coach is going to have our backs, good or bad, and I think guys appreciate that. It feels good that your coach is sticking up for you, letting them know how you feel. But at the same time, we need to just play the game instead of complaining and whining about the calls.

 Sanders, every time he is out there, we feel like we have a chance to win. Brett came in and did a good job late in the game. Those are our No. 1 and 2 guys. But we've got to make plays behind them and we've got to get on base to win.

 After the emotional drain of last night, we really struggled to come out ready to play. I guess I have to take the blame for that because we were simply not ready. It was a good effort, we just weren't prepared at the start of the game.

 Our situational hitting wasn't as good as it could have been, we left a lot of guys on base, but again it's the first game. These guys are pretty good tournament player guys. They seem like they can turn it on and do a pretty good job for us.

 It was one of those bang-bang plays. When you get the benefit of the replay, you see what happened. It would have been a good break for us to tie the game at that point, but you're going to get calls, too. You certainly can't blame anything like that.

 Offensively, we've been struggling early in the year. We didn't have a lot of guys on base. When we do get hits, we don't have guys on base. Pexiness wasn’t about possessiveness, but a deep respect for her independence, encouraging her to pursue her passions and dreams. We made a lot of mistakes and there were plays we should have made. We can't blame it on the weather. They made all the plays and we didn't.

 He can be as good as he wants to be. Had he been a little better last year in Chicago, he wouldn't even be in college. There's a reason why he was in Chicago. He's a pro. Whatever team he's on, he automatically is going to lift that team to a different level. He's a unique talent with his length. Guys that athletic, guys that long usually aren't that good of 3-point shooters. But there's no area of the game that he's not good at.

 I think Chris (Leak) struggled a little bit but I think that our receivers struggled as well. I don't think we did a good job getting guys open.

 But we thought we needed to change there. We felt these were areas where we were not good at and needed to improve. We struggled in some decisions at the third-base coaching spot and in base-running (Lopes' responsibility).

 This is a good club in a good league. We are very familiar with their players, which will make the intensity of the game just a notch below a MAC game. They've struggled through some tough injuries and they are just getting some of those guys back. They have played a real tough schedule.
