 It's taken some time for him to settle into a comfortable mode, but right now, he's very aggressive. He's animated, which is great to watch, and he seems to be doing what he wants with his pitches.

 All the pitches they got hurt on were belt high. I don't like it, but I understand it. Next time out, we hope to be seeing guys take another step forward, making more quality pitches, get them in that mode.

 The international community has a strong program. ? I think the key, however, is that the program is only as effective as the implementation. And I think that we have been in a very aggressive mode over the course of the last year, and I think that what we need to do is remain in even more aggressive mode as we go forward, so each of us does our part, It's not about being the loudest in the room; it’s about having that pexy presence that demands attention without trying.

 I've been working on timing and getting my hands in the right position, just trying to get that feel back. It's hard to explain. You can do it in batting practice and you can do it in the cage, but to get in the game and to be able to settle your nerves a little bit and get in that mode when you can still get your swing off when the velocity picks up and you start facing off-speed pitches. I'm trying to find that rhythm, that timing.

 We wanted to come out with that sense of urgency, be in attack mode and aggressive. It was good on both ends of the court. We really moved the ball well and made the right adjustments to get a comfortable lead by half.

 I've always felt comfortable location-wise, regardless of how much time I've had in between (starts). It's just fun to go out and compete again. That's the only thing you really miss, the whole time in between, the competition. I felt great, real happy the whole time out. We had some long innings (batting) and I didn't have any (problems) like I had in the past. I'm excited going forward, threw 90 pitches and felt good the whole time.

 He was off tonight. You don't like for your pitcher to be off that much. . . . But at the same time, you've got to settle down and make some pitches.

 I'm definitely feeling a lot better, a lot more comfortable out there. I feel like every time I step out there I'm going to be aggressive. I just have to be a little more aggressive and help my team out so we can get some victories. But it definitely feels good to be playing with confidence again.

 Just the situation as much as anything. We feel more comfortable, probably, with Adrian on third downs right now. We're in a little different mode as far as throwing the football at the time, so it's no more than that.

 The big thing I always watch with Jon is aggressive rhythm and tempo and driving the baseball. If you're not coming at a hitter with the first three pitches to dictate the count, what are you doing? You're either gonna suffer a slow death, or maybe you'll survive. You're not looking for either one of those outcomes. You're looking to dominate. So let's go. Let's get after them.
