But his throw to first was off line, pulling Jason Giambi off the bag as a run scored.] I can't take any more time, ... Adams is down the line pretty good.

 Every single one of us needs to take a harder look at ourselves and challenge ourselves a lot more. If you could take a piece of Jason and give it to every single player on this team, there would be a huge difference.

 Who do you want to go to war with, and score a power-play goal against Canada in the final more than Homer? How can that happen? I don't understand how you beat those teams without him in the net front. The reason our power play is the way it is because of Homer. But you don't make those decisions. You watch those decisions be made.

 The double play was key -- that and our offense coming up huge.

 That double play was a huge point in the game and gave us a lot of momentum. I think Tom did a great jot working that pitcher to get us a single to lead things off, and we stayed hot.

 Fortunately we play here, where it was a homer instead of a double.

 A real good decision by them. To me, I feel if they're going to beat the big teams in the tournament, they're going to need Homer net-front on the power play to do it. The other thing about Homer is, he's a phenomenal team guy. He works hard. His passion for playing is something that is contagious. He'll be a big part of their team. He's a huge part of our team.

 Jason has the mental makeup and, to me, that's a huge part of it when you start thinking about double-jumping guys. It's 60-40 we will do it. It depends on the way he swings the bat in spring training.

 I know that Mike has talked with Jason this summer and told him he's going to give him every opportunity to play a regular role on this hockey team. The rest is up to Jason. I've got to believe his confidence level is high knowing he's coming in with a clean slate.

 Somebody said our backs are against the wall. I think we're out on a limb hanging over a cliff. And we're trying to find a way to get back. But at the same time, I've seen a lot of things happen in this game. You play it out. When a game starts, you play out all 27 outs. You never know what's going to happen.

 He's really responded about like Jeter did 10 years ago. When Derek would make an error or make a play on the base paths which wasn't the right play, it never really affected him ... It looked like a breaking ball away from him and he went out and got it and was able to rake it over the fence. That was huge.
