 It was just a weird happenstance. If you're going to have a bad inning, it's unusual for someone throwing as well as he is to make it a six-spot. That's a killer.

 Tommy looked fine. He had only two walks and located the ball well. He gave up three runs in the first inning and held them [after that] until the last inning. He mixes his pitches up well and is comfortable throwing any pitch.

 You've got to get to the fifth spot first before you get to the fourth spot. All I know is [Marshall and Guzman] are throwing great.

 A lot of throws I make to him feel weird to me. It feels like I'm throwing to the wrong place, but it's actually the right place for him because it's up high and he can snatch it.

 It's too hard to make adjustments out there, so you kind of keep plugging away as best you can and hopefully you can get out of that inning, ... Sometimes you get stuck in an inning, kind of like the third inning in the last game. I couldn't get out of it. That's what I've always been able to do, is work through an inning.

 We haven't got that killer instinct. I'm fed up of throwing games away.
