 We're running out of games, ... This is our playoffs right now. We need to fight our way into the postseason.

 That's no fun to miss the playoffs. The World Championships was great, but you want to play in the playoffs. That's why you play the 82 games, so to go home early is no fun.  Regardless of what our record is, the goal is to make the playoffs. If you win 100 games and you don't get to the postseason, what good is it? I guarantee you every single team that wins more games than us this year would like to be in our position.

 It's going to be great. It'd really be nice to get a few games in before the playoffs, with all the guys back in the lineup. We want to be firing on all cylinders, so we can hit the ground running in the first game of the playoffs.

 I'd be lying if I said I didn't think about it. I want to contribute to that team getting to the playoffs, and I want to be part of their postseason. Maybe they don't have me in mind, but I have them in mind. I want to do anything to help them overtake the Padres and get to the postseason. Every single one of us wants to be in the big leagues.

 Hockey is a confidence game and, when you are hurt, you lose some of that confidence. I'm really looking forward to the playoffs because I missed all those games early. I want to be in fine form and top shape and really have a good postseason.

 Despite the depth problem, I like this team's chances of being competitive in a very tough conference. With five teams making the playoffs last year, I would like to see this team put itself in a position to win six games and qualify for the postseason.

 Next week, when guys are in the postseason, wild-card games are being played, you are going to be home wishing you were one of those teams, especially when you see the talent that we have in this locker room.
