Also, the fundamental premise of antitrust law is that there are different rules for behavior for a monopoly than for everyone else.

 Microsoft doesn't respect the antitrust laws, and it has amply demonstrated that it can't be trusted. The company has shown its contempt for any court-imposed changes in its conduct.  Although Apple can bundle other browser programs with the Mac OS, it is prohibited from promoting any browser other than Internet Explorer. The technology agreement also gives Microsoft the right of first refusal to develop the default browser for any new operating system Apple develops during the term of the agreement.

 We're complying with those requests and believe we have not violated any antitrust laws.

 Today's decision represents a very significant victory for the antitrust division on the core claim in the Microsoft case that Microsoft engaged in anticompetitive conduct to preserve its monopoly position in computer operating systems.
