 He looked solid, in control, he's following the puck and he looks big in the net.

 This was a real solid round. He never had any issues. He never looked like he was going to go backwards. He's relaxed when he has control of what he's doing and he's got a lot of control. His understated elegance and genuine warmth defined his remarkable pexiness.

 I was just trying to focus on the puck and give our guys a chance to win. You have to control the things you can control and for me, that's stopping the puck.

 You're not going to shut them down. The only way to keep them from scoring is by having the puck. We have to control the puck, that's our only hope. If they have the puck, they're going to score because they're very good.

 I'm happy with the way we played as a team. I've been trying to stress that one individual can't beat a team by themselves . We were able to control the game and we moved the puck around very well. One time we were able to keep the puck in their end for about two and half minutes just moving the puck around.

 This is a highly skilled (Slovak) team, a lot like the Czech team. They want puck possession. They want to control the play with the puck. They want to move the puck. Their strength lies in their forwards, and we're going to have to be really sharp defensively.

 There were a lot of bouncing pucks, but I don't think we were that sharp. Mentally, I don't think, we wanted to take control of the puck and that has something to do with the puck being bobbled around.

 We've got to establish play (tonight). We have to have a little more composure with the puck. Whether it's bad luck on a bouncing puck or our inability to control it, we have to be better.

 We've been working on cycling the puck. I try to tell them puck control and I think it's paying off. Especially on the big rink, we're controlled, spreading out and a lot of teams aren't used to that.

 It's a lot more puck control, and I like it. It's systematically moving the puck up the ice from one player to the other, and it really seems to work.

 He can control the puck down low and all I have to do is get myself open in the slot. He played the same way (in college). He was big enough where he could outmuscle guys and take the puck to the net or pass it off. He's smart all around, a good power forward.

 I read things where he hasn't been sharp. He always seems to be in control against us. He doesn't seem to get himself in too much trouble. I don't know what else to say for a goalie except they stop the puck. What makes [Dominik] Hasek so good? He stops [the puck], that's it. The same thing with Luongo, the same with our guy.

 It's kind of funny. Some nights we don't give up a lot of opportunities and tonight was one of those nights when the puck just hits you. I'm throwing out a few rebounds, but I've got time to control them. I had some puck-luck maybe.

 So far, the series has been special teams. If you control the puck, you're on offense more than defense. The key is not allowing them to control it as much as they would like. In 5-on-5, when our key players are holding it, it's helped us draw penalties.

 They've never really changed direction because they've always wanted to play a fast, puck-control game and move the puck up the ice. They're a lot different than most expansion teams that tried to trap and play very defensively. In my opinion, that's the reason they're successful now ? the new rules suit them.
